One in a Million
I was lucky to get this DVD for $25. It normally sells for over $100. The movie is amazing, it is about a writer who takes things a little bit too literally with his writing. I would say one of Judd’s best role as Stanly. A rare DVD for sure and one in a million that is both suspenseful and fun.

The Best underrated horror movie.
Cabin by the lake is a genuinely unique horror movie, with an original story concept. The movie is centered around Stanley, who is a movie writer and also a serial killer. When he kills he writes about it, well friends and the producer just think it's part of the script. The creepiest part of the movie is that Stan has a "garden" which is comprised of all his victims as the bottom of a lake. He regularly visits the garden to give the different women gifts. Some of the moments in the movie are kind of live, but overall it's a great movie and a favorite of mine. Great classic movie! I bought this movie because I am, myself an aspiring writer and I felt the movie was cleverly done as a good rule of thumb in the business is "write what you know." To create a great screen play Stanely becomes a killer allowing him to see and feel the characters and therefore is able to write how they would react in real life. Truly a cleaver piece of work. I was sadden to learn this movie is no longer in product and feel fortunate that I was able to find a copy. Worth every penny! Great move!!!Great classic movie! Great movies
Excellent movies. They are rare but worth buying if you can find them. The story was quite intriguing, the acting was engaging, it had a unique concept and the script was very well written.
