Leave Your Understanding at the Gate
There's a lot to the Baulder's Gate series, and the second release follows right where the first one left off. The plot and its elements are difficult to stay along with, so if you're more into hack and slash adventure rather than an intricate background, I wouldn't recommend the game for you. If you're one who follows along with "intimidating" fantasy elements, this game can be fun. Single player is not nearly as enjoyable as multiplayer, so be sure to have a friend play along. As far as the aesthetics of the game, the graphics are excellent, third person omniscient view and great effects. Sound is good, and music is a typical Lord of the Rings Howard Shore kind of deal (but to a lesser epic degree). You get a few more characters than the first Baulder's Gate, but don't expect ... Armor and weapons system have not changed--as a matter of fact, nothing truly has changed from the first Dark Alliance. In conclusion, if you enjoyed the first game, then you'll enjoy the second one as well. If you haven't played the first, don't worry about which one you pick up first. Either way, chances are you'll be confused with the plot line and just wind up playing it because it's a fun hack-and-slash-magic-bash adventure/RPG that's best in co-op mode. Either way, it's a buy for all those fantasy lovers out there.

The grand daddy of ARPGs
Ok maybe the grand mommy (Diablo 2). But as far as console ARPGs go this one takes the cake. Outstanding deep customization system, a decent storyline that is made far better due to it being set in the D&D world, and gameplay that’s a total blast to play. This is easily one of the best co-op games on PS2. You can even unlock Drizzt after beating the game.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is absolutely one of the best games I have ever played. I have been gaming since the 70's. I love RPG games with a maze. This game has some of the greatest mazes I have ever seen. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance l was fun, but the second one is even better. If you love RPG maze games, this is the one for you !!!

I love this game and have wasted so many hours playing it. Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance II were, in my opinion, the best RPG games to come to console. I enjoy these games more than Diablo even.

Great game!
I love the Baldur's Gate, Champions of Norrath games. I buy multiple copies of each just in case something happens to one of them I will havd a backup. Love the different character/ classes in Dark Alliance II. Am having a blast plauing these games again.
