    Finding this album was like reconnecting with your best childhood friend.

    This was the first record album I ever picked out myself, way back when.Finding out that it had been released on CD was something of a rush;I'd listened to that old mono LP to the point of near memorization, but where do you find a phonograph these days? The transfer to CD is outstanding for the original album cuts;crystal clear and well balanced between dialog and background music.While I understand the reasons for adding the extra tracks(the original album is rather short), I do not feel that they really add to the overall package.This is mostly due to technical problems. The background music overwhelms the dialog on several tracks.Also, being very familiar with the original album, the new material feels kind of like meeting relatives for the first time;you don't really know them, but ...

    MUST HAVE for STAR TREK FANS or the "SPACED OUT"

    this is a CD that contains most of two albums releaed by Leonard Nimoy, who portrayed "Mr. Spock" in both the 1960s Star Trek television show, and the 1980s/1990s Star Trek motion pictures. While some of the tracks are very "SPOCK" and entertaining, a lot are merely instrumental space music with no Spock participation, like for instance, one wonders why is the "Mission Impossible" instrumental theme song on this record? It is neither Spock nor space! And even some of the Spock tracks are kind of plebian, referencing too much "modern reality" in ways. Still, if you can get a hold of a copy cheaply you will not be too upset, and find yourself "spacing out" to some of the better tracks of this album. If it is high priced, then you may want to wait, even if you are a hard-core Star Trek ...

    Mr. Spock Rocks!

    This is an absolute riot. Pure 60s! You can picture the girls in gogo boots dancing in the background! For musical value - well, Mr. Nimoy excells as an actor and director. But for any Trekkie, this is a must have! I play it when I'm working around the house, and talk back to it, and laugh at it, and generally have a great laugh! Laughing "with it," not "at it." We had this album when it first came out, and I was delighted to be able to get it on cd!

    Mr. Spock's Music From Outer Space

    I had the LP when Mr. Spock's Music From Outer Space album appeared in stores when it came out in 1967. Now, I am so happy to have the CD. I do not hear music like this any more. I love the female background singer as her voice is so feminine. I wish I knew who was the female voice. Leonard Nimoy has a great musical talent and a good singing voice. He hardly ever spoke about his musical gifts. Instead, he spoke more about his acting career. I am so thankful that the LP is now available as a CD. Thank you!

    Hillenburgs Favorite

    Steve Hillenburg, the guy who gave you SpongeBob, was a friend of mine. When we were younger we taught science together in Orange County and Steve liked to get people over at his place after work and put this album on and just sit back and watch their reactions. Steve’s gone, and it’s a shame, but this album is still here, and while we all miss the hell out of him we can still put this album on and have a laugh knowing that he’s right there laughing with us.
