    Not Much Substance

    Not much substance to this recordable book ie: few pages each comparing how much I miss you compared to "eagles would miss the chance to fly" or "dolphin would miss chance to swim". At this pre-reading level, I thouht the comparisons could have been more age-appropriate,simplified. BUT, this book, unlike some other recordable, has more "talk room" on each page, so you can not only read the words, but can comment however you like. That is an excellent feature as when we read to our children/grandchildren, most of us comment on each page. My granddaughter is far away, so I like to buy these recordable books so I can "read" to her from afar.She does love them, and having the extra time on each page to speak to her, makes this book worthwhile,at least, to me.

    Nice Book

    This was simple but cute book, even in the recordable book you can add your own flare to the reading a bit. If it says, "the sun was shining," you can say,"the bright sun light up the sky." Add your own touch. Nice book to give. I am a father of three girls and since my divorce I have been about 900 miles from my baby girls, this was a Christmas present to them this year.

    Guess How Much I Miss You Record a Story

    I thought this book would be perfect for my son is with the sitter.I was greatly disappointed! It was difficult to record, some pages did and some didn't. After it was all recorded, the story doesn't always play back in sync. Some pages played the previous recording and some skipped. The book has to lay flat on the table if there is any chance in it working at all, that's very difficult for a young one. I put new batteries, so that wasn't the problem. On top of the technology of the book not working, the story itself is lame. It has cute pictures for the child reading it, but the actual story is only 5 pages! It's not even a story! Every page has a sentence on it, that's it..."I miss you like a dolphin misses the sea...like an eagle misses flying." It really was so disappointing. I ...

    Record a Story "Guess How Much I Miss You"

    I bought this for my grandson because his lives so far away. Unlike the Hallmark books, it has a little bit of music with it. I liked that about it very much. This book did not have alot of words on the pages but it gave me enough time to say a few things after I read each page. The pictures are very pretty and overall I would recommend this book. I think this is a great way for grandkids to hear my voice while I am not with them all the time.

    EXCELLENT WAY TO COMMUNICATE FROM FAR AWAY

    I sent three of these books to a friend deployed in Iraq so that she could record her voice and send them back to each one of her children. She just about cried when she got them. It will help her to communicate with her children from far away and to tell them how much she loves each and every one of them. What is great about the book is that the child can not record over your voice once you set the switch on the inside of the controller. However if you ever need to rerecord you will be able to! This is wonderful for grandparents to grandchildren, from boyfriend to girlfriend. Its endless
