Protects and makes life a lot easier for your saw
I purchased this product based on the dimensions only and as it turned out it fits my husqvarna 345 saw perfectly with room for a qt of bar oil, grease gun, saw wrench, rags and gloves with room to spare. Very well made, easy to handle and keeps saw dry if left outside for weekend outings at cabin. I highly recommend this product!

Just right fit.
Perfect fit for my smaller chain saw. The case is adaptable for several different brands. My saw is a Stihl, not Echo. Good size, quality, and price.

16 Inch bar maximum (with a Shindaiwa 500 Powerhead...)
The Title of the Item is probably more accurate as 16 inch bar chain saw case. As you can see from the photos, the powerhead BARELY fits with no room for extra oil, sharpening kit, or tools. Nevertheless it does fit, and that's the main thing. So I gave it 5 stars. It is constructed similar to the Stihl Outdoorsman chain saw case and will catch any oil or gas which leaks out of the saw during storage. So you won't mess up your garage floor or shelving if you store your saw in this case. There are two plastic clasps which hold the top, and the hinges have a plastic rod through which they are connected. If you don't abuse the case, you should be satisfied with it for many years. I have included a picture of the saw itself: an old Shindaiwa 500 with a 16 inch bar. This is about the ... The Title of the Item is probably more accurate as 16 inch bar chain saw case. If you are going to try and stuff an 18" bar into this case, it might fit only with a much smaller powerhead. But I don't have anything that small, so I can't say for sure. The weight of the case itself is negligible; it doesn't weigh very much. Even so, it is strong enough to protect your saw from most items which may drop on the case. In summary, purchase this case if you have a smaller saw and you won't be disappointed.

Very nice case.
This case was exactly what I wanted. The case fits the saw and has enough extra room for a bottle of bar oil, grease, wrenches, ear protection, and safety glasses. I was even able to squeeze my safety chaps in there, but it’s tight. The only complaint is that I had to remove the Echo tip guard as the scabbard wasn’t wide enough to accommodate the factory provided bolt/nut, so I have to remove it and reattach every time I use the saw if I want to enjoy that safety feature unless I can find a shorter bolt/skinnier nut combo. This case was exactly what I wanted. The case fits the saw and has enough extra room for a bottle of bar oil, grease, wrenches, ear protection, and safety glasses. I was even able to squeeze my safety chaps in there, but it’s tight. Solid case
Quality case with thick plastic. Scabbard slides in tight and the lid closes tight also. Handle area of the lid is reinforced. Purchased to stow my CS-310. Has plenty of room for the saw and small bottle of bar oil, gloves, face shield and ear muffs. Also, because it's plastic, any bar oil that leaks out is contained within the case.
