Wonderland is Not just for Kids anymore!
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It offered a few twists from the book, but who doesn’t like a few embellishments once and a while? The special effects are fantastic. I loved the costumes, and what can I say about a cast of famous, spectacular actors? Well, I can say that when thrown all together, you get a movie that entertains and keeps your interest. Who could refuse a singing, dancing turtle…Gene Wilder, or a disappearing Cheshire Cat, played by Whoopi Goldberg. I won’t name all of the actors, but you will recognize a lot of faces. The movie is a bit long and runs two hours. Plan to make pop corn, and take a little break in the middle to stretch and take care of business. I watched this movie alone, but I know that my nieces would have loved it. I can honestly recommend this for ... I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I had not read the book as a kid and I only knew it from the Disney movie I had seen years ago. I had recentley read The annotated Alice in Wonderland by Martin Gardner and realized how much more there was to the book then most people realize. So when this film showed up on local tv I watched it. it was so chopped up with commercials, I went to ebay and ordered it This movie is great Some really good acting.Martin Short, not one of my favorites but a very good Mad Hatter Whoopi Goldberg as the Cheshire Cat And best of all Tina Majorino is perfect as Alice. It does deviate a bit from the book at the start and end to set up the story And a scene from through the looking glass added. I usually watch a movie once if its really good twice I have in the short time I'v had it watched it three ... A walk into a wonderful world~
This is a great movie and reincarnation of Alice in Wonderland, the director did a great job going by the story we all know and love and putting it in an easy to understand format and making it a fun adventure all the same.

My favorite rendition of Lewis Carroll's Masterpiece
I love the 1999 NBC's version of Alice in Wonderland. Well cast, great sets and great songs. My personal favorite redition of this classic tale.
