Product Information

Live the dangerous life of a mercenary as part of a two-person team that takes on missions that the good guys won't touch. Army of Two for the Sony PlayStation 3, released in 2008, is a third-person shooter with an emphasis on two-person gameplay; however, an interactive computer AI allows people to play solo with the computer controlling their mercenary partner. Give instructions to the computer-controlled character via voice commands to get healing, assistance, or just make them stop running around. Take on missions in places such as China, Somalia, Iraq, and even Miami. Earn cash for successfully completed missions to spend on armor and weapon upgrades.

  • Great Game!

Set in a future where private armies are undermining government military, blah, blah...hell, it's a shooter. And it's for two people. And they swear and high-five each other when whacking the enemy. What's not to like? Fire at the enemy melts, get your aggro meter glowing and all guns will be trained on you. Leaving your buddy free to sneak up and shoot them in the back of the head like the dogs they are. Controls easy. Being a co-op, playing the campaign alone means trusting the AI, which in the main is pretty good. Simple shoulder and d-pad clicks send out orrders, and if you're taking too much heat, you can tell your guy to get all medieval on the enemy ass, and he'll draw fire while you recover. Follow set objectives to gain cash (which you can also bump up completing side missions and ...

  • Army fo Two Review

Halo 3 nailed it, Gears of War executed it, and heck even Crackdown did it. Did exactly what you say? Feature the ability to plough through the campaign with a friend over Xbox Live and even on the same Xbox 360. EA’s Army of Two was built from the ground up to ensure the player gets the most thrilling, intense action packed co-op experience and while it might have sounded good on paper, it has not been implemented all that well. You begin with a nice little training mission to accustom yourself with the controls of the game and also the features that make up a large part of the campaign. After you successfully complete this mission, you are tasked to go to Somalia to assist a mercenary by the name of ‘Phillip Clyde’ who is assigned to eliminate Mo’Alim. On completion you are carried ...

  • Army of two

I bought this game mostly because of all the advertisement I saw on TV, the game as a whole is great, realistic weapons and death scenes, adrenaline pumped action and even the dialogs between the main characters are better that what you usually find out there, feels like real people talking to each other instead of the old generic script of a bad amateur flick, that’s usually inserted in these kind of games. But it has it’s downsides too, for example, the storyline is really short, it is absolutely no secret as to who the villain is and the lack of realistic stealth in game is also very annoying, you can try as much as you want, but you can never sneak up behind anyone without attracting the attention of every single enemy in the area, I mean, think about this, you are dropped in the ...

  • Army of Two (Playstation 3, 2008)

While for the 1st person shooter addicts this game has good and bad it was mostly good. The game play and story mode was decent and flowed well together. It was not a long game nor very deep thought out story board. Graphics were not at the best for this game considering when it was made. This Game was designed for two player in campaign mode which is unique in today's game market. This is a bonus and makes the game more valuable to me. While it is good in two player mode the AI campaign version leaves more to be desired. The controls work but feel awkward. Seeing as most games use a different patterns over similar functions for firing and toggling between selections one would think that the game designers would have taken advantage of that to make the game more desirable to play. Although ...

  • Excellent for 2 Players, Just OK by yourself.

This Game should really get two scores. If you are looking for a Co-Op game to play on the couch with a buddy or your son, then this is an excellent game to fill that void. My Son and I like to Play Split-Screen Co-Op, Trouble is there are only a select few games we can do this with. Resistance 1 is good for Co-Op, Resistance 2 does not allow Split Screen through the Main Story... The 8 Player Co-Op missions allow 2 in split so that is not bad. Warhawk (MultiPlayer Only), Little Big Planet, Rainbow Six Vegas 2. But we played all these already... Killzone 2 is awesome, but we cannot play it together. So I picked up Army of Two when I sold some of my Old games. Playing it by yourself I can see why some people give it average scores. The AI just barely makes it. Not Terrible, but it just ...
