Sounds Great, but poor switch placement.
I purchased this unit to eliminate numerous stomp boxes and/or a rack with a PSA1. I do many fly out dates and needed a compact all in one pedal FX unit that sounds great through a PA. I found very good sounds within just a few minutes. I don't use many of the FX that are included. I play in an 80s rock tribute and need good drive and clean sounds with delay, reverb, chorus. Two complaints at this time are the pedalboard switches are way too close to the adjustment knobs. If you don't take your time when stepping on the switch, you'll hit those knobs when switching channels. It is such an issue for me that I'm fabricating a knob guard. There is no XLR output. This would be very helpful, but I have a good DI Box that works great allowing me to send an XLR to the sound man and a 1/4" ... Excellent multi-effect pedal!!
9 effects in line plus the integrated booster, a Z expression pedal that allows you to put a left-right effect and another one in the up-down position. The best amps simulators i've tried. Excellent heavy-solid construction, 4 integrated screens that give you the opportunity to switch on and off the effects selected... balance out output to give you a full wave audio (left and right together). Awesome effects box.
There's very little this thing won't do. It has a boatload of pre and post effects that sound close to the original stomp boxes they were modeled after (and have all of the controls as well), and it has a lot of amp models which also sound very good. It has a 12AX7 pre-amp tube which can be used to get a warmer tube amp sound. And it has a looper. There's a lot of stuff packed into this kit for the money. Sound-wise, pretty good.There's very little this thing won't do. Good effects sim for the money.
This thing has some great effects on it. Using it for its amp modelling obviously though isn't going to give you anything near an authentic sound but still somewhat useful. I mean that goes without saying though. Digital OD and amp models just don't compare at all to a tube amp with some 12s But for the money this particular item is a great value. From Various stereo effects, Compressors, Reverbs ect. It's very usable. The ZNR noise reduction is a great feature and I use it for my amp all the time with various other things like the Z pedal that make this a really cool and unique item. Not to mention the computer interface that you can use to make patches to your specifications with great ease. Basically about 1/4 of the effects are trash (mostly the ODs and amp models) but there's still A ... This thing has some great effects on it.
