Based on Ron Howard's cinematic interpretation of Dan Brown's bestselling novel, this video game version of The Da Vinci Code is designed to let players experience the twisting mystery story first-hand, and to explore locations and clues not featured in the original source material. Players guide lead characters Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu to uncover secrets and speculations as old as Christianity itself.<br><br>Appropriately perhaps, the game is in the basic form of a classic mystery adventure, compete with clickable crime scenes and tricky inventory puzzles. The point-and-click pondering is punctuated with action sequences, however, in which the heroes can use stealth and surprise to take down opponents. The Da Vinci Code was developed by The Collective, known for previous license-based games such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, and Marc Ecko's Getting Up.

    If You LOVE Puzzles Get The Da Vinci Code

    First of all never read the book or watched the movie. What made me get this game is for the puzzles (I like games with puzzles) and there are LOTS of puzzles in The Da Vinci Code. But for the gameplay itself. The graphics are OK. The music repeats over and over again thru out the levels. The fighting is SO lame (but easy). And the voice acting is SO SO TERRIBLE. And there are WAY WAY WAY too may cutsceans. The ONLY reason I gave The Da Vinci Code a 4 out of 5 is because of the puzzles. This game has more puzzles than any other game I've ever played (besides MYST). Like I said there are lots of puzzles and some of them are tough but they do give you clues on how to solve them. But if you want a puzzle game get The Da Vinci Code for a VERY VERY Cheap price. I got my from eBAY for only $5.95 ...

    The Da Vinci Code Game

    I really enjoyed playing the game. I was a little disappointed that the game differed from the book, but the Movie also differed from the book. If the game had been the same as the book, I would have probably known all the riddles. So I guess in a good way it was mean't to be different from the book. I love RPG's (Role Playing Game) and in this game you switch Characters from Robert to Sophie. The fighting sequences were easy...just button combinations. My son who is Autistic helped me during gameplay to solve some of the puzzles and riddles. We really enjoyed this game overall. If you are a Da Vinci Code Fan, you should buy and play this game..you'll get a laugh at the great artwork and the characters(Teabing and Silas) Thank you.

    Wow...

    Wow, this is one of the worst games that's ever been my misfortune to play. First, the graphics. Completely outdated. And the characters don't look at all like the characters from the film. Second, the storyline and narration is as boring (maybe more) as listening to an actual history lecture. Which is what it basically is. Third, the game's combat system is really poorly thought out and is out of place in a game about books and nuns. Fighting nuns and security guards just feels out of place in the storyline. Fourth, the sounds and voice-overs. The sounds are repetitive and the voice acting really doesn't cut it. Also, the characters you play as, start panting harder than a dog in the sahara after running like five-feet. You may also hear a guard shout "Would you like it super-sized?" ...

    Good Game

    Changed Review due to further game play. Does engage the mind into thinking but does drag a little. Lot of cut scenes. Good for those that like to keep their game slow and easy. Not a bad game overall.

    EXCITING GAME

    THIS IS SUCH A GREAT GAME. KEEPS YOU IN SUSPENSE THE WHOLE TIME THAT YOU PLAY IT. AMAZING PUZZLES THAT MAKE YOU THINK AND USE YOUR BRAIN ENDLESSLY. I LOVE IT, IM STILL PLAYING THIS GAME AND ITS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE.
