So-so truck game if your desperate to play it........
I picked this up last week on Ebay. I bought this game along with 18 Wheels Of Steel: American Long Haul. I have to say that American Long Haul is far superior to Extreme Trucker. Extreme Trucker is a arcade style truck simulator. You haul all kinds of items in 3 kinds of environments: Ice, Jungle, and Desert. Over time the challenge gets tougher, tiresome, and boring as you progress. Graphics: There are pretty generic for a budget game. All the cars and trucks mostly look the same. The weather I like, but it changes rapidly quickly and doesn't effect your driving to much. The maps are also short when you look at it but when you play it, its OK to look around. But still it wears off on you quickly. Sound: Again generic car and truck sounds. Horns, braking, crashing, etc. There ... I picked this up last week on Ebay. The ice and desert maps aren't really that fun. Driving is a chore. I was hoping at least the weather would provide a challenge but it really doesn't. There are so many levels in every map, it just seems to go on forever. So there really is no way to beat it as far as I know. Controls: Every easy to drive. The buttons can be configured to your liking but on default, it plays fine. I know there will be more 18 Wheels Of Steel games in the future. There always is. Now if you buy this at full price which is a mere $19.99, your paying way to much. If you buy it less than 10 bucks, I would still say its too much. Rather buy it less than $5.00 cause your going to need a lot of patience and time while trying to endure the tiresome and boring gameplay. Which several times I nearly drowsed of and nearly went to sleep.

My grandchildren love playing this game and I also have spent many hours playing it.

Bad game . Tech support is a joke ........
I have tried the game demo and worked fine , bought the game and never able to play it . After about 20 seconds have an error message "18 wos stopped working" , uninstalled the game twice and reinstall it but same thing every time I tried the game . I'm running a Core 2 extreme 3.0Ghz , 8Gb ram and 1Gb GeForce GTS250 graphic card so I don't think it's a problem with system requirements . Try to contact ValuSoft tech support ......... good luck , if someone knows how to contact them PLEASE let me know . On the site only could get "check minimum PC requirements" , "update your graphic card" and "how to update graphic card" . What an help ......... I've been playing a lot of games in this PC without any problems so believe me , it's not me or the PC . Just an advise , spend your money with ... Exceptional Product!
I have 18 w.o.s. 2 and love it., can hardly wait to get the 18 w.o.s. number one I have purchased. They are truly exceptional trucking simulation games. Have found nothing equal. :)
