"Behind the Lines"
I purchased this book to see if another book within the series "The Corps" was as good as the first one that I had read. - I was NOT disappointed. - W.E.B. Griffin has a great feel for the language and manner of all things Military, and his presentation of that material is very exciting. - This book has just the right fit within the series and I am now in search of all of the books in this series so as enjoy the "whole" story. - I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in "Great" stories about the military, especially things of action and detail.I purchased this book to see if another book within the series "The Corps" was as good as the first one that I had read. - I was NOT disappointed. - W.E.B. Behind the Lines by W. E. B. Griffin
I started reading W.E.B. Griffins novels around 1983--riveting is the best way to describe each book as well as full of accurate, vivid descriptions of military life. This book holds up to that fine tradition. Further expansion of characters from history and gripping accounts of the early stages of the war in the pacific. Very interesting history of the 'behind the lines' uncoventional warfare in the Phillipines. I missed the last four books of 'The Corps' series back in the Nineties when I was working 60-70 hours a week. Glad to finally get back to them..I HIGHLY recommend this book!I started reading W.E.B. One facinating way to learn about the "Greatest Generation"!
Great story! - like all of his books - having served- really enjoyed his "The Corps " series (and all of the others). Teaches some history in a very entertaining and enjoyable manner. Great stories from a great story teller! R.I.P. W.E.B. Griffin!

Behind the Lines
I have read and enjoyed all of WEB Griffin's books, and being a military retiree, am completely enjoy all of his works pertaining to the Military. I have met and talked with Mr. Butterworth have looked forward to each new book in each series since the early 90's. I was in the Army during part of two of the series so I remember some of the things he is writing about. This is one of his finest, a real "page turner", could hardly put it down.
