Not only will you get a great accurate film, but a 1 hour, 45 minute in depth documentary with all the real people telling it all from his youth, a detailed exploration into the murder scene located on Wonderland Avenue in the wooded Laurel Canyon neighborhood of Los Angeles, & the aftermath of his death. Plus so much more! If you feel you must see "XXXL: The John Holmes Story" do yourself a favor, find it somewhere to rent. Don't waste your money. A very few of the real key players are involved in this exploitation but only to shape & backup this "very cut" storyline. This film tells what you already know without the major details. An 70's style documentary of the Porn Stars life
I was interested in the Wonderland Murders and had seen the Val Kilmer movie and This documentary had pictures of the actual murder scene. It was a good documentary, with lots of interviews of the actual people in John Holmes life, except for his girlfriend in the Val Kilmer Wonderland Movie, who I was also interested in, and who is said to have written a book about her experiences. The murder scene pictures aren't great though, as they are 70's police poloroid photos and they are not what we are used to today.I was interested in the Wonderland Murders and had seen the Val Kilmer movie and This documentary had pictures of the actual murder scene.
