Take to the skies for a realistic hands-on flying experience with the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog flight simulation package. The handle is crafted entirely of metal. The whole unit weighs no more than 14 pounds, which enhances the realistic feel and adds increased durability. This HOTAS (Hands On Throttle and Stick) package offers exceptional aircraft control and a genuine in cockpit feeling for total gaming immersion. The Hall Effect on this HOTAS Warthog comes from 3-D magnetic sensors for surgical precision in your controls. A five-coil spring system keeps consistently firm tension while in play. The weighted hardware that makes up each piece not only provides a more believable experience, but it also adds stability to the unit. The joystick contains 19 customizable action buttons for flexibility. One of these is an 8-way point of view hat, allowing for even more immersion. The stick is also detachable from its weighted base, which allows avid gamers to use this Warthog base with the Cougar stick. The USB connection on this unique controller further enhances its usability, allowing updates to the firmware. The throttles have the same precision-enhancing 3-D magnetic sensors. In addition, they include a locking system. It allows you to have independent control of each motor or lock them together to use as a single one. The thruster continues to impress with its 17 additional action buttons and switches that are also completely customizable. Another USB connection graces these controls as well. An additional 15 action buttons are included on the control panel, which, like the other parts and accessories, delivers on quality. This controller also houses 5 programmable LEDs and contains a friction wheel so that the user can further adjust to their own specific standards. The product measures 18.1 by 9.8 by 12.6 inches. The hardware isn’t the only part of this simulator that impresses. The included software suite allows complete customization of the controllers.

A step up from Saitek
The throttle is amazing. Incredibly hefty with great tactile feedback and smooth as butter. The joystick has an all metal exterior which exudes quality. However, the internal mechanism utilizes all plastic parts which are prone to wear if not properly cared for. Out of the box the movement is not as smooth as I liked due to stiction. After disassembling the joystick and sanding the plastic mold seams the joystick became much smoother. Once done, with the addition of ample amounts of quality plastic-safe grease the joystick is a 'joy' to use, pun intended. I can't imagine it wearing out. I also did the teflon ring mod which replaces the stock rubber ring with a teflon one for durability. Contact Hempstead to order one - they're cheap and worthwhile.The throttle is amazing. I highly recommend this, personally I do not know how I went without one.
Do you need a flight stick? Do you need a throttle control? Do you want something that will last? Do you want this to be the last stick you will ever need? If you answered YES to all of these questions then THIS IS THE STICK YOU NEED!!! Yes, the stick really is that awesome. I will admit, the price tag has kept me scared and away from it for some time. But I promise you this, nothing and I mean NOTHING comes close to this setup. I have used 7 different sticks and HOTAS configs over the past 15 years and this one is the absolute best. The precision is spot on and flawless. The stick and HOTAS itself is built of metal and very little plastic. The buttons and switches are solid and do not feel like they are going to break off. The quality and feel of the Thrustmaster HOTAS Joystick and Throttles are the best I have ever purchased. They are also the most expensive Joystick and throttle combinations I have ever purchased, but worth the money for anyone serious about flight simulators. The metal construction and smoothness of the controls give, in my opinion, the most realistic feel possible. The LED back lit placards on the throttle base ad a nice touch. The throttles have an idle/cutoff detente, and a full range throttle. They can also be configured easily to have an afterburner detente at the top end. All things considered, I am very happy with my Thrustmaster HOTAS Joystick and Throttle purchase. Not for Amateurs!!!
Definitely not for the faint hearted! Incredible H.O.T.A.S. system. You will need rudders to go with this one..........craftsmanship, material are above the stratosphere! Not for your casual flight sim enthusiast! Comes at a hefty price but well worth it. Feels just like it did in my old bird.

Digitally Precise
I am happy w the purchase of this stick. Dead spot on throttle...deal breaker? No but it is a pain and hopefully can be corrected. This stick is SOLID - @ 12 pounds it will require considerable effort to make the stick move from where it is placed. The hotas has 3 hats & 10 switches, buttons and slides. It's an investment...not an expense. 🙃🤙
