Illustrated step-by-step directions show how to calculate the circumference of the rings, how to wrap wire into coils, how to cut, and finally, how to assemble the chain. Starting from the basic Byzantine, new chain makers can then progress to increasingly Byzantine variations, including linear, knot, crown, and combination chains.     Handcrafting Chain-Bead Jewelry

    In my opinion, this is the Must-have book for anyone doing or wanting to learn chain maile Jewelry. The author illustrates three basic patterns and then shows many alternatives to each design. The author doesn not include the more advanced patterns, but this material is the backbone of learning most other patterns.

    You need this book !!

    I bought this book to learn how to make different types of chains. This book has excellent instructions and pictorials on just that! This is a great book the instructions are concise and to the point. There is nothing that I dont like about the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to make chains.

    Handcrafting Chain & Bead Jewelry :Scott David Plumlee

    Bought it to learn basics of Chain Maille as recommended by expert mailler-artist--Not recommended for beginner Chainmaille student as it does not address basics after opening jumprings and into chain project. Good projects with details other than that; fine for jewelry maker in general.
