Just Perfect
This isn't my first Krups XP4030. After 6 years of daily use, my last one was done for. Partly my fault, because there is one thing you don't want to do to your espresso machine, and that is grind the coffee so fine that it is impossible to push ANY water through it! Eventually, after making this basic mistake, something has got to give. Having said that, I find just the right grind for this machine and the results are unbeatable. This unit that I bought is pretty much unused. There is a way to tell from the photos of a machine if you look closely. Sometimes the seller will take a shot of the bottom of the machine. Look closely at the steel screws holding on the rubber feet. If they are crusty or rusty, then there is an indication that there is either trouble or at least a wet environment. ... This isn't my first Krups XP4030. After 6 years of daily use, my last one was done for. I decided to take the last one apart just to see the workings and the parts used were high quality. Even more surprising to me was the fact the entire bottom was steel with quality a black powder coat finish. No wonder it weighs as much as it does. This recent machine is also quieter for whatever reason there may be. If ever I need another espresso maker, hopefully I can find one of this level of quality at this price.

I like this machine so much I purchased a second
Been using the XP4000 for the past 4 years making minimum of 2 espressos per day and up to 20 on holiday family gatherings and just recently replaced the brew gasket/seal on it. I decided to get another machine to keep in the camper so that I don't have to keep carrying it out of the house on camping trips. I chose to get the XP4030 which is the stainless steel version of my current XP4000 and hope it will be as trouble free for at least just as long. I Always used double filtered city water and plan on doing the same on the 4030 to make sure no minerals build up inside and cleaned the coffee grinds immediately after each espresso was done. I also do a full cleaning flush about every 3 months following the Brew Rite Cleaner instructions. Keeping it clean may have possibly made it last ... Once we did, we have been enjoying lattes every day and find them to be of equal quality to the expensive ones we used to buy at SBs. This is a great way to save money and enjoy all the different drinks that start with expresso. I'm sure there are better and more automated machines but, no doubt, they would be more expensive. This is a great way to test your resolve to do this at home without spending alot.We never had an expresso machine previously, so it took a couple trys to get the process right. Bought this espresso machine to save money from buying lattes at Starbucks all the time - and love it! Easy to use - a tip for you: - I had previously read reviews that said the tip for the milk frother would fly off - which, it has a couple times since I bought it. The way to avoid this is to clean it properly, and after use run steam though the tip to clear it out. Overall, we love the machine, just make sure to buy the proper accesories separately.Bought this espresso machine to save money from buying lattes at Starbucks all the time - and love it! Extremely Satisfied!!!
I have been using a Krups XP4030 Espresso Machine for 7 or 8 years now, 2 or 3 times a day. I am on my second one that I just recently purchased. But, I’m strongly considering buying another one already as a backup because I’m so in love with this particular model and I’m afraid that it might be discontinued now. If you want a well made machine that takes a lot of abuse and makes delicious espresso in short order, you can’t go wrong with this one!I have been using a Krups XP4030 Espresso Machine for 7 or 8 years now, 2 or 3 times a day.
