    A good compact glass with an extra use.

    This lens is wonderful for scenic work and minor macro shots. I like the size and wieght which makes it easy to carry along with other lens. It's a fixed 35 mm lens not a zoom, but with it's macro capabilities you don't have to switch lens if you see something that interest you close at hand. I was able to use this lens the whole day without changing it. I am quite satisfied using it and keep it at my side for medium wide angle shots and simple closeups. I recommend this for it's clear overall center to edge sharpness and it's color capture.

    Compact with unbeatable image quality

    The good: affordable, lightweight, excellent build quality, excellent image quality, fast focus. The bad: Unlike my 50-200, in order to focus manually, I need to first switch to manual focus on the camera body instead of simply just rotate the focusing ring so its a bit inconvenient. I would like to take off half a star, but since there isn't half a star I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

    Great results for the price

    I’ve kit WR ED lens 18-55mm that came w/ my k50, but I like to photograph in darkness environments (after sunset) and I needed faster lens, but HD or other prime lens is very expensive. So after research in Pentax Forum, I choose this lens and I like very much of results , greats pictures at night w/ low ISO and excellent contrast.

    Pentax DA 35mm / f2.4 lens

    Sharp images but autofocus system is quite noisy and slow performance.
