Product Information

A complete guide to playing D&D in arid wastelands. This beautifully illustrated supplement continues a series of releases that focus on how the environment can affect D&D gameplay in every capacity. Sandstorm™ contains rules on how to adapt to hazardous hot and arid weather conditions, such as navigating desert terrain and surviving in fierce heat or harsh weather. There are expanded rules for environmental hazards and manipulation of hot weather elements, as well as new spells, feats, magic items, and prestige classes. New monsters associated with deserts and wastelands are included, as well as variants on current monsters. Sandstorm provides enough adventure material included for months of gameplay. Avis les plus pertinents

  • Sandstorm; Mastering the Perils of Fire and Sand

Sandstorm is a must-have for any DM who regularly uses deserts or wastes, and wants to improve them. It goes in-depth on normal and magical hazards, from Slumber Sand to deadly Flaywinds, as well as provides a selection of monsters far superior to those here-and-there desert monsters in the Monster Manuals. Sandstorm provides various deities, classes and substitutions, spells, and gear, as well as new player races. A lot of it, however, is not especially useful anywhere outside of the desert, such as the Sandshaper, so it only gets 4 out of 5. I like it, personally, and like to at least have it around when I write up a campaign, just in case. I recommend it.

  • Sandstorm by Bruce Cordell, J. D. Wiker (2005)

This is another in the a series of books by WOTC to provide additional detail for both the player and Dungeon Master for location throughout the game world. The book provides information for conducting games in a desert enviorment. The book is designed in a manner that allows for easy reference. The subject matter is sufficent for any game mechanic and open enough to not be restrictive of players who want to expand their game. I would recommend this book for anyone who is considering play a game in a desert enviorment.
