Product Information

It's the year 1999, and Earth is embroiled in a Global War that is systematically destroying every country involved. However, the year brings great change to Earth in the form of a giant alien spaceship that astronomers have discovered is hurtling towards Earth. It crashes in the South Pacific, on Macross Island, and soon the Global War has stopped and the world's best scientists have devoted themselves to restoring the technologically advanced battlefortress that has fallen to Earth. Ten years later, Project Robotech has been completed, and the SDF-1 is ready for its maiden voyage. Unfortunately, the SDF-1 has attracted a Zentraedi armada who want to claim the ship as their own. So, a war begins with Captain Gloval struggling to defend the ship with the alien technology of the SDF-1 as the men of the Earth's Veritech Fighters, led by Lieutenant Commander Roy Fokker, struggle to keep up with the superior alien firepower. An involving and exciting space opera that has been immensely popular since its release, ROBOTECH is a landmark Animé. This collection includes episodes 1-6 of the series' MACROSS SAGA.

    A must see

    I have rented this series before and watched like 100's times but this is the first time to own it. This is the first anime series I saw when I was little I love it then and still do, for those don't know what Mecha this is plain sample of it. This is a classic that everyone how likes anime is a must see has everything Fighters, robots, romance, drama, humor and suspense

    I have it... It is 6 Chapters

    I have it... It is 6 Chapters, about two hours of great fiction story. Once you get this part, you want to buy the rest of the Saga. It might be possible to download it, but nothing compares to having the real DVD.

    Robotech - Vol. 1: Macross Saga

    When I was growing up this was one of my first exposures to anime. Recently I picked up this volume along with number 2 and found myself once again hooked on a true classic in the anime world. Highly recommended, and definitly worth the money. A+

    awsome robotech movie

    i like this movie becuse its one of my childhood movie i loved to watch and still do'es. cool cartoon grafik's and story line love the way the girls were drawn up very cute too.
