the best of the velveteen rabbits IMHO
i first saw this upon its original release in the mid-80s, on a slightly fuzzy VHS tape. the combination of Streep's cultured yet empathetic narration, the gauzy still-frame panning and dissolves, the wistful story of childhood, all of it was an emotional confection which stuck in my mind since then, driving me to eventually find this nifty DVD of it for sale here on ebay. picture quality is somewhat better.i first saw this upon its original release in the mid-80s, on a slightly fuzzy VHS tape. the combination of Streep's cultured yet empathetic narration, the gauzy still-frame panning and dissolves, the wistful story of childhood, all of it was an emotional confection which stuck in my mind since then, driving me to eventually find this nifty DVD of it for sale here on ebay. picture quality is somewhat better.

A Timeless Classic Presented in a Timeless Fashion
I remember, years ago, watching this program on HBO. I was always impressed with the excellence in which its was presented with beautiful graphics, a wonderful narration by Meryl Streep and a heart-touching piano performance by George Winston. Now that I have daughters, I have always wanted them to experience the tale of the Veleteen Rabbit as I did when I saw the video for the first time. However, I was never able to find it, until recently, when I found it available on eBay. Every time I watch this video, I find myself choked up and a little wet around the eyes as I rediscover, once again, the healing and life that the power of love brings to all of our lives. I highly recommend this version of The Velveteen Rabbit to even the hardest of hearts (who would much prefer to ... I remember, years ago, watching this program on HBO. I am 36. This book was my childhood bedtime story. I am so lucky to have this back. I also bought the LP of it.

S sweet story for all
I received the video and it works very well. I did not think I would ever see a copy of this, so I am very happy to obtain it. My granddaughter liked when I read her the book and I knew Meryl Streep read the story so I ordered it. Its very good.
