Product Information

Dirt Track Racing: Sprint Cars allows players to choose from 16 officially licensed "World of Outlaw" winged sprint cars featuring 800 horsepower engines, or modify vehicles to their personal specifications. A variety of tuning options include car (toe, right rear spacing, tire size, pressure and compound, brake strength, steering lock), suspension (torsion bar, travel, compression rate, rebound rate, and shocks), chassis (weight distribution), and performance (wing position and pitch, wicker bill, and drive ratio).<br><br>Players earn money by winning a series, placing in the A or B Main events, winning heats, or achieving the fastest qualifying times, as well as through sponsorship and appearance fees. Cash can be used to upgrade car with new engines, modified cylinder heads, lighter parts for weight reduction, fuel injectors, better-gripping tires, improved rotors for brakes, suspension enhancements, and better exhaust efficiency.<br><br>Racing modes include Quick Race or Multiplayer (up to ten competitors via LAN or Internet), but the main challenge is to win the World of Outlaws series in career mode. Events in career mode consist of a collection of races (part of a series) held over one or more days, with practice, qualifying heats, and mains, and can be either Brief or Detailed. Players must prove their driving skills by earning championship points in several series before being allowed to enter the World of Outlaws Support Series and, finally, the coveted World of Outlaws Series.

    Dirt Track Racing Pennzoil World of Outlaws

    I'm a local Sprint car fan and wanted to have a hobby over the winter months. It is a good video game but very hard to move up in points with a low horse power car you cannot compete against the higher horse power cars with what you have to start out with other than that the game is great. It's realistic. You have to earn money to purchase better equipment. You cannot turn the motors at a high R.P.M. for they cannot take it. You can be an outlaw driver or make up your own driver. This game has alot of tracks on it. I recommend this game to any sprint car fan.

    Disappointed

    I am very disappointed that this game will not work on my computer. No where did I see a statement that the game was for Windows 95 and it won't play on my computer. Buyers should be aware of this. Totally unusable

    Dirt Track Racing: Sprint Cars

    I purchased this game because I have Hot Rod American Street Drag and Hot Rod Garage to Glory, and I wanted something different to play. However, unlike the Hot Rod games, Dirt Track Racing did not work with my XP operating system. It was slow to load and froze the computer after just two minutes of play. I was finally able to get my money refunded; but I was told to just &quot;keep the CD&quot;, leading me to believe it was not &quot;XP compatable&quot; and not worth shipping back.

    Great Game!

    Most realistic Sprint Car game out to date, and this was made over 10 yrs ago. Wish they would've continued manufacturing on the PS2 versions tho. Blockbusters lost all there's very quickly due to face fans not finding it anywhere else!!!
