Surprisingly good!
I have always liked Jewel since her first album and could tell from those first songs she has had a lot of tough times but this book opens up a whole spectrum of struggles, turmoil and growth. She is truly a woman of substance, which is very hard to find in people who have been through so much as a child in Alaska or any other place. She has risen above it all, has gone within to learn and continues to learn. It is astounding how she has forgiven. She is a beautiful and gracious lady. What a life, what determination and what an example of how to choose love and pass is down to others. I would highly recommend this book. To me, better on CD; perfect for listening on long car trips where there is tons of time for your own introspection. Like I said, I have always liked Jewel. Like me, no ... Jewel is deeply naturally spiritual sensitive and compelling, she is a gifted writer whether it be a song or a book, very outspoken and adventurous I found this cd to be exceptional, she is quite the story teller, her journey has not always been so pleasant but it did not beat up her inner child her lessons have been many and she shares them with you with honesty and great depth . jewel is a deep thinker, interesting how she manager to get herself to adulthood , when her self centered mom ran off and her Dad started a knew life. She was left to fend for herself. and many breaks with help of others. outside family
