À propos de ce produit

Product Information

This anthology of classical and contemporary philosophical essays and legal cases focuses on legal philosophy as its own subject-rather than as merely a topic in applied ethics or an aspect of social/political philosophy. The essays within this reader focus on the different aspects and areas of law and the particular philosophical issues that they raises. The book requires students to think through actual debates--many of them still currently in the courts.

Always a good experience with this seller. Great prices, quick shipping, and item arrives as described from the listing (usually in better condition in my opinion). I've ordered many books from this shop at this point, so I can say this with confidence. I sincerely recommend purchasing used books here. Occasional slight creasing on covers but I don't find writing in the margins, heavy underlining, or bent pages, which is what I mainly look for.

Avis les plus pertinents

  • Excellent Book, University Price.

Readings In The Philosophy of Law was the Book required for Phil 368 - Law, Justice and Punishment An interesting text examining the sociological and philosophical impact of laws in America, providing clear and concise case examples. The writing follows logical boundaries, Phil 320 (Logic & Crit. Reasoning) is recommended for a better understanding of the works and cases herein. The only downside is the University Price; close to $100, and usually marked up yet again by the schools. I would like to keep this book at the end of the semester if I can afford to; although I feel compelled to re-sell it due to the lack of reasonably-priced used copies on eBay.

  • Philosophy of Law a good buy.

I had to buy the book for a college course. It was in readable condition when I bought it, and it has not deteriorated much despite being carried everywhere I go. Overall a good buy.
