The T-Mobile myTouch 4G is a 4GB HTC is a smartphone that can be full of features, including a 3.8 inch display screen with an 800 x 480 resolution and a rear facing camera. This HTC phone, which is offered on the T-Mobile network, includes Android software as it’s operating system, and a 1 GHz processor speed. The myTouch 4G phone gives you MMS and SMS messaging capabilities so you can chat with friends. It also has built in wi-fi, so you don’t have to use your data while connecting to social media, games, or the internet. You can access the internet by using the built in browser, or download a different browser app using the Google Play app. Since it uses Android, you can use Google play to download all the apps you use, including Twitter, Facebook, even Pokemon Go. The T-Mobile myTouch 4G can have great built in apps too, like an alarm clock, calculator, calendar, and it can be synced with your personal computer or other tablets. The touchscreen has 16 milion colors, so you can watch video or look at photos the way they were meant to be seen. The display is multitouch and uses HTC’s Sense UI. You can upgrade the Android software at your pleasure. It comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo) but can be upgraded to v2.3 (Gingerbread). As for hardware, the myTouch 4G uses the following specs, a Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon S2 chipset with a 1.0 GHz Scorpion CPU. This phone was released in 2010, so it is considered an older phone, but it can have many features of today’s phones and can still be reliable. If the 4GB of internal memory is not enough for you, you can have the ability to use a microSD card of up to 32GB in its dedicated slot. As a bonus, this smartphone comes with an 8GB microSD card preinstalled in the slot. The camera is a 5 Megapixel (MP) camera that has autofocus and an LED flash. You can take video and pictures, and it will geo-tag them. You can also use the camera for VGA videocalls. When you get a phone call or an instant message, you can set the phone to vibrate, use MP3s, or WAV ringtones. You can also hook it up to speaker accessories using the 3.5mm headphone jack. The T-Mobile myTouch comes in black, not white, and can have a good battery life. You can talk up to 9 hours if you are using 2G, and up to 10 hours using 3G. It has a standby time of 432 to 552 hours for 3G and 2G, respectively. You can check email, use predictive text input, view documents, listen to music, and organize your life with the myTouch black 4G HTC phone. The myTouch 4G has a keyboard that slides out on the side. It is a QWERTY keyboard with flat keys with a smooth and strong sliding action. If you don’t want to use the keyboard, HTC has preinstalled the Swype virtual keyboard, that can allow you to type (or swipe) directly on the display screen with the touch of your finger. There is a full arsenal of accessories available for this device, either through your T-Mobile store, or online. Check with your carrier, as you may be able to switch out your SIM card to activate the phone, or you may need to unlock it if you do not use T-Mobile.     Great all-purpose phone!

    Awesome phone! I've been addicted to it. It was a tremendous update from my G1. Hardware-wise, the Mytouch 4G is much faster than the G1, internal memory is more than enough for all the apps I want, and comes with a generous SD card for my music and videos. The front and back camera also added a lot of new uses for the phone. The phone feels sturdy and it doesn't get bulky even after a gel case. Touch screen is very responsive and screen size is generous. Speaker and headphone jack also make it great for listening to music while on the go. Software wise, Android has come a long way. I wasn't too dependent on data plans while on the G1, but this one makes data plans worthwhile. User interface is much more enjoyable than before while holding its speed.     Nice first Android device that doesn't skimp on features.

    I bought this phone because it seemed like a good mid-priced and mid-ranged Android phone that also happened to be on the T-mobile network. In addition, it was highly rated for phones of its class. I also wanted something I thought would be a good replacement for my iPod Touch and my regular cell phone. As it turns out it is more than a match for the iPod. It has a 5mp camera vice a .7mp camera. It has GPS vice none and a replaceable battery by the user.Among other things. It also has a micro SD card slot and while the iPod has built in 32GB storage, about 3GB of which is used for system files. The MyTouch, on the other hand, can use an entire 32GB SD card which can be swapped out if full. Also, the MyTouch is infinitely more customizable. What I like the least about the MyTouch is its ...

    A phone worth the buy!

    For my first buy with eBay, I have to say I couldn't have done it with a better product. I love how the phone is easy to use once you get the hang of it. And the design and how thin it is compared to my old phone. Now the phone did come with two barely noticeable scratches, which the seller did mention, but even with that the phone is like brand new. After using it during the holiday weekend to take pictures, listen to music, and message people, I am glad I bought this pruduct. I really think that if you are looking for a phone which has a big enough screen, without it being the size of a brick, and pretty thin even with a protector then the myTouch 4G could be the phone you are looking for.

    Elegant technology, lightning fast processor, superior display

    At first glance, I was struck with the physical appearance of the myTouch 4g. The large 3.8 inch screen is framed with an elegant chrome accent. The painted metal battery cover is easy to remove, however, will probably show wear with age. Overall appearance is excellent. Call quality on the myTouch 4g has been very good in normal and speaker phone modes. Call are easily placed and the phone had no problems multitasking while in calls. Callers tell me the sound quality from this phone is outstanding. The phone rocks with the lightning fast 1ghz Snapdragon processor but even that takes the back seat to the Genius Button. The phyiscal Genius Button accesses a voice activated menu for text, email, directions, web searches and more.

    Great Smartphone for what you pay today.

    Although this phone is obviously dated, and Single Core Processors are a dying breed and struggle to handle the most current apps and games, if you're looking for a cheaper but high quality smartphone with 4G coverage then consider this. This phone does all the basics like a smartphone should. You can make phone calls, text, browse the web, watch youtube and netflix etc. The interface is pretty user friendly and easy to use. I would not recommend this for heavy gaming as this is only a single core and it will lag. It also has a 5mp Camera which still yields great pictures. However the one thing I absolutely love about the camera is that it features tap to focus while in video record mode.
