    Another McCullough winner

    This is an author you cannot go wrong reading, though this is a bit different that his usual sagas. This is several short stories, not one longer tale. He is good at this too.

    Masterful history by America's greatest contemporary historian!

    This is a wonderful compendium of biographies of historical figures who displayed courage in various ways. David McCullough is the best historian of our generation.

    Old hat.

    I’ve read many of his books and liked them, but this one was a collection of old warmed over magazine articles that were not especially well written. Maybe they were written early in his career, before he became a more skilled writer.
