  • EZ, FUN & HUMEROUS !

Like everyone else has said, this is THE book for beginning wine makers & anyone else who wants to make wine. I bought it in the 1990's & was VERY IMPRESSED with the author and the humerous photos through out. (Notice the Geko's in the pictures. Thought that was great ! Suprised no other reviewers mentioned this). But best of all it includes the authors email address & when I had questions she freely emailed me back & forth. She cares about those using her book & is more than willing to communicate with a reader. Hopefully she still has the same email address, since the book was written in 1996. If not, I believe it would be easy to find her somewhere online. Buy this book !

  • The Joy of Home Winemaking

Gerat book! very highly reccomended for both the beginner and seasoned winemaker. some of the recipiesin the beginning section teach you how to use things that you probably have around your house such as a gallon bottle, a rubber band and some clear wrap as well as simple ingredients that can be purchased at your favorite grocery store. The information is presented in an interesting and informative way, overall an enjoyable read!

  • The Joy of Home Winemaking by Terry A. Garey (1996)

This book was purchased for my father. He started making wine this year after starting his grape arbor 4 years ago. This is a wonderful book that gives the history of the winemaking process. It also gives tips, tricks, and techniques that will allow the laymen to succeed in his endeavors. There are many recipes also included in this book from a great variety of fruits. I would recommend this book for anyone.

  • The joy of home winemaking

I have used this book for a couple of years. I then gave it away and bought another copy for myself again. It explains the basic concepts of home wine making and then give recipes for most every kind of wine you can think of. It is easy to follow and is a lot of fun to do. The wine is also very good. High marks for this book

  • Home Winemaking by Terry A Garey

Excellent book especially for beginner wine makers (which I am). Terry Garey writes a very comprehensive book in every-day English that beginners can understand and appreciate. She gives examples and some of her own experiences and made me feel that my venture into home wine making was going to be as much fun as I had anticiapted it to be and that each batch of wine is a learning experience and excellence can be achieved even by the beginner. I bought the book on the recommendation of a friend who's parents make wine. Great book.
