How to STudy Your Bible by Kay Arthur (1994)
I bought How to Study Your Bible by Kay Arthur, because I am doing a precept Bible Study at my church. The book is extreamly helpful in my studies, and I have also purchased The Inductive Study Bible to go with it. I find this type of study wonderful and I have grown and learned so much as I study my Bible using this method. I highly recommend this precept study method if you want to grow much deeper in God's Word. Our church offers a class on Wednesday nights for any one who wants to dig into God's Word and break down every chapter with a total new deeper understanding of what God is telling us.I bought How to Study Your Bible by Kay Arthur, because I am doing a precept Bible Study at my church. The book is extreamly helpful in my studies, and I have also purchased The Inductive Study Bible to go with it. This is probably the BEST book I have seen on the market to help figure out how to study the Bible. It contains specific tools that will be useful forever. For example, it takes you step-by-step on how to do a "character study." It also teaches how to do a "word study." I actually bought this book for the girls in my small group Bible study because I have read it and used its principles many, many times. I highly recommend this book for the novice and the pro alike!This is probably the BEST book I have seen on the market to help figure out how to study the Bible. It contains specific tools that will be useful forever. For example, it takes you step-by-step on how to do a "character study." It also teaches how to do a "word study." This was my text book for Introduction to Bible Study Methods in seminary. Incredible helpful book written in a way that anyone can apply. Brings indepth traditional inductive study methods to the reader to help them get more from Biblical text than ever before. Not a commentary, but acctual method and analysis of language methods to help you beeter understand writting style and methods of communication used in the Bible.
