Prompt shipping, easy transaction. My only gripe is that the item had what appeared to be a coffee stain, or similar, on the front cover. It was easily cleaned, so no big deal, but I can't imagine why it wasn't taken care of prior to shipping.

    My Favorte Series Of All Time

    I first became acquainted with Anita Blake when I ran across Midnight Cafe at my local library. This omnibus includes Lunatic Cafe, Bloody Bones, and The Killing Dance. Thereafter I was totally hooked and have bought almost all of the series so far. I'm trying not to read them too quickly as they need to be savored slowly. Anita's one liners are just too cool, her observatons on life can be very profound, her feelings for friends and lovers can break your heart. Hamilton's stories and characters have sucked me in to a world I don't like to stay away from for too long. Guilty Pleasures is an excellent read and it alludes to a past that Hamilton needs to write a prequel on. Jean Claude and Richard are to "DIE" for, pun intended.

    First book in the best series I've ever read!

    I read this book a couple years ago for the first time, and I have to say, Laurell K. Hamilton is one of the best authors I've ever read books from. Her characters are all very unique (unlike some authors which create sort of "cookie-cutter" characters built to suit a particular role), and the world she built for them is unique as well, but also very believable. It's not like the usual paranormal book series of today; everyone knows about the monsters and they are being accepted (somewhat) into the human society. Since it's so different from many other series, it's much more intriguing, and more difficult to pull off, I'm sure; but Hamilton does an incredible job in succeeding.

    Book was in great shape!

    Laurell K Hamilton is an awesome author, love her books. The Anita Blake series is one of my all time favorite vampire collections. With such a wide variety of the supernatural powers displayed, you can't help but get drawn in and mesmorized by the characters. Can be a little a confusing at times if you are unfamiliar with some of the terminology, but it's easy to catch up.

    BACK OF BOOK SAYS: ANITA BLAKE VAMPIRE HUNTER, ANITA'S small dark and dangeorus. but when the city's most powerful vampire comes to her for help. anita is faced with her greatest fear a man capable of arousing in her a hunger strong enough to match his own. THE IMPORTANT CHARACTERS, jean claude willie mccoy edward ronnie dolph zerbrowski mary and bert. some vampires are getting killed and willie is sent over by the vampire powers, to hire anita to find out who is doing it. then nikolas has her own plans for anita but jc interfers. and he gives her the first mark. anita makes friends with the rats.who later become allies. these books need to be read in order not only to follow the story line but to follow the relationships. the book contains a mystery but i'm in ...

    Great book with lots of action and vampires!

    I decided to buy this book because I read all of Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Series. I loved that series. I read another book by Laurell K. Hamilton and decided I wanted to try the Anita Blake series. I'm on the seventh book in this series, and so far they are all great. I would recommend this book for any horrror or fantasy lover.
