Not Bad
If you just want a small compact camera to snap a picture here and there then this is the camera for you. If you are looking for quality, look for another camera. Picture quality is mediocre; it can be hazy. The micro function is very poor and cannot take close up pictures at all, even if you were a foot away. I have played with a friends canon camera before and found that the micro function on that camera worked wonderfully. I was able to take fairly clear picture from a couple inches away! The camera also does not show you its battery life on the screen until it is low. Maybe I just did not know how to find or make it appear on the screen. I had issues with it running out of batteries unexpectedly because I did not know how much battery was remaining. Overall camera is good and very ... The early SD Canon cameras are some of the best digitals as far as quality, ease of use and features. They are simple, robust and take awsome pictures. 5MP or less is all you need, and I shoot mainly at 2-3. This gives great quality even up to letter size prints. The MP rating of a camera is actually the least important feature unless you are going full poster sized prints on a regular basis. A proprietary battery that charges quick and has good life can reduce the cost of taking pics to practically nothing. The SD 10, 20 and 30 series are classics that will gain collector status and have started to already.The early SD Canon cameras are some of the best digitals as far as quality, ease of use and features. I liked that it worked but was a little more scrathced up than I thought it would be from pictures. I purchased it for a gift for my grandson and hesitate to give it to him now that I have received it due to the overall used and scuffed look. ck
