But when the pretty Rose (Misty Dawn Wilkins) arrives, hidden layers of emotion begin to surface, culminating in an unspeakable tragedy.Like a gifted documentarian, Soderbergh uses his nonprofessional cast to present a slice of everyday American life that is unflinchingly, achingly honest. Combined with Coleman Hough's more traditionally crafted plot, BUBBLE becomes something wholly inventive. Shot on digital video by Soderbergh, and featuring a score from former Guided by Voices frontman Robert Pollard, BUBBLE resonates long after the credits have rolled. At only 72 minutes, the film nonetheless casts a strangely haunting spell. This is the first of several low-budget digital video projects that Soderbergh plans to shoot all across America.

In 2000, he received two nominations for Best Director for Erin Brockovich and Traffic. Ultimately, Traffic won him the Oscar.

Small Town Murder Indy-Type Film
I liked this movie despite the No-name cast. Slow paced, shows typical worker life in a small Mid-Western town. Feels realistic, and is an Indy/Arthouse type movie. Things go bad when new girl shows up to work at the Doll factory as she brings her baggage with her. She gets murdered after a date and the detective has 3 suspects. Worth watching. Its only a little over an hour long.

i bought this movie because it was filmed in my home town and i knew a lot of the local people in the movie it was ok i only paid .99 for it good deal couldn't get excited about it the movie was interesting to me only because i knew some of the actors and it was filmed in my neighborhood sorry
