  • Helll of a great read. Prepare to be educated, entertained, and absorbed.

The story begins in the middle, then backtracks to the reasons for the event, and continues the story to a reasonable conclusion. A very law abiding citizen becomes pushed into a fight-or-die position by suspected thugs, then finds out they are Feds. In finding that out, he had already dispatched a few, therefore felt he had to dispatch the rest. I would think it rather farfetched, but being around for the combined fiascos of Waco and Ruby Ridge, (both of which are part of the story), Unintended Consequences quickly becomes an absorbing and believable read. Being the most expensive "Novel" I ever bought, it is an education in the techniques and science of reloading; vagaries of intent by Governmentaly Empowered men; histories of how firearms have been used, and ...

  • One Voice in a Conversation

Unintended Consequences raises some very important questions within the context of people who consider themselves a part of the gun culture. These questions revolve around how does one respond to a government that slowly erodes the rights of its citizens. It acknowledges that while much of what has happened in terms of gun legislation has been intentional the results have not. Our intended results to reduce crime, to weaken gangs, to find drugs and terror. Not one of these endeavors can be shown have been affected positively by restrictive gun legislation. Much of it has actually done the opposite by hurting those that would be your biggest advocates and supporters if merely left alone. While taking some points-of-view that might not always be popular this book tries to remained balanced ...

  • Unintended Consequences The Book The Govt Hates

A fictional story chronicling the attitude towards firearms over the life of a man raised in the gun culture. Lots of technical material that gun lovers will love. Meeting with heroes like Elmer Keith and anti-heroes in the Bureau of Alcohol and Firearms and the U.S. Senate, among others. The plot revolves around lost rights and governnment operssion of the gun culture. The plot thickens when our hero, while guarding a friends gun business is confronted by burgulars, who he finds are ATF agents, after he dispatches them. The influence of Ayn Rand and other Freedom Writers is stong and obvious. John Ross is a true story teller than holds your attention and the book bears keeping and re-reading many times.

  • Unintended Consequences by John Ross

There is nothing about this book I "don't" like...and I think anyone would be wise to get this book and have a read. I personally don't "read" books but this one though fiction has many referrences to historical events. The author from what I understand wrote this book in hopes of preventing what it's about... I rate it 10 of 10 Note, this book is sought after in other countries also..so to miss it.. you've missed out.

  • A MUST READ!

This book takes a very hard and real look at the United States and the governments reduction of the second amendment over the last 100 years. While it is a work of fiction, it demonstrates the vulnerabilities and flaws that our legal system can project. As a law enforcement officer in a large U.S. city I found it to be one of the best books of this generation. It appeals to the conservatives and liberals alike. I could only wish that more college campuses would make this a mandatory read. Please buy and enjoy this masterpiece.
