These small, Dayton Audio stereo speakers provide high-quality sound without the bulk of a larger build. When you take a first glance at these B652 audio units, you'll love the black appearance of the exterior. In fact, this dark hue is actually a black ebony pica vinyl cabinet finish that gives it an old-fashioned appearance. With only a 6.5-inch depth, these powerful Dayton Audio speakers can fit onto nearly any shelf or table.These units are collectively known as bookshelf speakers. Because they're just under 12 inches tall, they are extremely easy to tuck away in a corner. Their 7-inch width also gives you versatility during installation. Because each Dayton Audio speaker weighs slightly more than 5 pounds, you should install the units on a solid surface with good stability. If you can create a stable fastener on the wall, there is a keyhole cutout on the rear of the unit that allows it to be hung easily.The two-way compact speaker has an excellent sound quality that may surprise you, but this clarity is due to a strong construction matched with three to four fasteners holding each dome in place. Before you wire up the home theater units, take a close look at the cones underneath the removable grille. The woofer is measured at 6.5 inches wide, and it's made out of polypropylene. Because of this stiff material, the B652 model features low distortion, a durable design, and high-fidelity sound.With an 87 dB 1W/1m sensitivity level, the Dayton Audio 2-way speaker pair can give you a good deal of sound in any room in your home. To benefit from the intense frequencies, turn the unit around to see the quick-connect speaker terminals on the center of the rear side. Standard stereo wire fits right into the connectors so that you can turn on the 40 watts RMS of power in each speaker.The bass response is deep enough to capture those low tones, but it can also handle the higher pitches for a full sound that's ideal for watching movies or listening to music. For those high-frequency sounds, enjoy the less than 1-inch wide tweeters. Each unit has one tweeter made out of polycarbonate. These audio accessories, which feature a frequency response of 70-20,000 hertz, can also take on an amp connection for even more clear tunes.There's a maximum of 70 watts emanating from these systems. It's possible to hook up a more than 9-foot long cable to the speakers, and as a result, the treble, midrange, and bass frequencies will quickly vibrate into your ears.Don't worry about a frustrating air port along the backside of this product because the box is entirely enclosed. Push the unit against the wall, or pull it a few feet out so that the vibrations can fill the room. The fiberboard frame supports all of the components with ease.     Excellent value for background music or surround sound.

    Bought these as extension speakers and am quite happy with their performance and value for the money. Would not recommend as main speakers but they would be an excellent choice for surround or 2nd room speakers. Cannot play at loud volumes without distortion and bass is lacking as one would expect. For around $50 bucks a pair they are head and shoulders above whatever else (plastic) is available in this range. If you don't expect too much from these...then you will be happy with the great value they represent. The built in hanger & light weight makes for easy one screw wall mounting.

    Dayton Audio B652

    Used this to replaced my broken sony 3 way bookshlef speakers. Didnt want to spend a lot of money for a very old sony stereo. Speaker sound quality is ok and the box is great,its has crisps sound on hi.'s but the bass are so-so. If you want deep base you should go for the three way or bigger speakers with woofers or sub-woofers. Over all i'm happy with my purchase. It brought back my system back to life.

    Excellent speakers, in a small package, and a great price!

    The Dayton Audio B652 6-1/2" 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker Pair is an EXCELLENT value, at a hair under $40.00, with free shipping. The sound quality is excellent, and the size is quite manageable. With a CD signal, or an FM radio program, turning up my PYLE PT390AU receiver results in a loud, clear sound from the B652 loudspeakers. Midrange & high-end frequencies are crisp, and low-end bass is better than most small speakers can reproduce. My wife is surprised that she can hear & understand our stereo, from any room in our house, now that we have these speakers. Clarity is the same, regardless of volume level. The housing is vinyl-wrapped particle board, but it is attractive. The grilles are cloth-covered, and are removeable. There is a keyhole hanger, on the back of each speaker, for ...

    Low Cost- far better than expected.

    I ordered this inexpensive set of Dayton’s to step in as the highs in a mini amp 2.1 setup. I was using some 8 ohm tiny generics for full range in an attempt to protect the cheap 2.1 amp. The “Breeze Audio” claims wattages of 50x2 for full range and 100x1 for the subwoofer- I doubted the claims of compatibility with such a range of impedance. I never introduced the bass to my previous highs. These B652’s had such clarity I thought what the hell- let’s see what they can do. These speakers handled real full range and as much power as the power supply and amp could throw at them. I’m impressed and look forward to trying products from Dayton in the higher level categories- particularly tower speakers and subs.

    B652 = The B52 of Speakers

    Dayton has hit a home run. This speaker sounds great for its size. Size is the key here. It will not fill a large room with good sound. However, a medium to small room, and these things will surprise you. Full bass, excellent highs with decent dispersion. I put them in a window, (tactile rubber on the bottoms, kills vibration), all I can say is WOW! Played with a decent amp and not too loud, these speakers will do the job. The pair with the EMT tweeter is even better!
