    Wonderful movie with great performances! It will speak to your heart!

    “A Walk on the Moon” is a poignant, sometimes funny, but always heartfelt drama taking place in 1969 during the time of the moon walk, Woodstock, women’s sexual revolution...a time of change and excitement. It’s a story of a floundering marriage that has drifted into complacency and predictability, where Diane Lane (Pearl Kantrowitz) longs for anything new and different. She, her two children, and mother-in-law are on their traditional, 1-week summer vacation in the Catskills (located near Woodstock), and husband “Marty” (Liev Schreiber) comes up on weekends to join them.     I absolutely love this movie, Diane Lane is wonderful!

    This is a movie which takes place in the late 1960's. Diane Lane plays a restless housewife who is bored with her life in general. After having a child very young and getting married she feels she may have missed out on living life to the fullest. Diane Lane is wonderful, Leiv Schriver gives a great perfomance of the jilted husband. I watch this movie over and over. I first watched it on Encore and looked for it all the time. I decided to buy the movie so I could watch it whenever I wanted. Couldn't find the movie in any local businesses so I ordered online.

    Great product and price

    I used to love this movie but it hasn't been showing anywhere for awhile now, happy to find it and at a great price for a good used DVD. Works perfectly.

    A walk on the moon

    I love this movie. Such a great era. I love the whole innocence of the movie and then the excitement of all of the big changes that are happening in the world. The romance between Pearl and the "blouse man" is sooooooo HOT! Oh my! I also LOVE the music in this movie, they put it together perfectly, songs of the sixties were so passionate, so full of meaning and the songs go perfectly with the movie. Liev Schreiber also plays a great role in this flick, he is so cute. I would consider this as a chick flick, great to watch with you Best friend.

    Oh so close

    The film was excellent showing realistic family interactions and was extremely well acted and realistic. The set and setting were accurately shown. The plot was being wonderfully weaved. Then it just truncates! The film built up tension between mother & daughter, between mother-in-law & daughter-in-law, and between cuckolded husband and cheating wife. The film accurately captures the times. Then it .....just ends, Pearl mails her husband a microscope, he comes to the camp and tells her a terribly poor joke. She says dance with me and he does. After 30 seconds or so he changes the radio station from Big Band to Rock and Pearl & Marty fast dance now. No talking thru it. No promise never to do it again. none of that beautifully woven plot goes forth. It just truncates. How sad. ...
