Product Information

Known for his uncanny ability to communicate with animals, "dog whisperer" Cesar Milan has amazed National Geographic Channel viewers with his capacity to transform even the most unruly dogs into well-adjusted pets. Milan, who has been interested in dog psychology from his youth, owns dozens of dogs himself and has made a career out of exploring pack dynamics. When he encounters dogs in need of intense rehabilitation, he often sends them to the "dog camp" he has established. This is made up of dogs who have been rehabilitated by Milan, and who then help train other dogs to adopt pack mentality and submission. Because he believes that most animal hostility results from lack of proper training, Milan shows loving dog owners how to give their pets the discipline they truly need. Viewers are also treated to his perceptive dog impressions and a series of hilariously neurotic pets. This release contains each episode from the show's first season.

    Dog Whisperer

    We follow the series on cable religiously, so it meets our expectations as to what entertains and enlightens us dog owners. We have two Terriers (When President Bush described the War on Tear---he was referring to our Fox Terriers, Chewy and Digger---Chewy, male, chews up EVERYTHING and Digger female,loves digging holes in the backyard). Our biggest problem with Chewy is that this tiny, ten pound dog has figured out how to unlock the screen door, the glass sliding door and the door to his cage---I now call him Pappian (sic). More intriguing, is my now near contempt of all brick and mortar shopping. Going to the mall, for me, is like going to a bordello---I have to be really 'hard up' to go inside. Not only have I bought CDs and Videos on line (new) for 40% less than retail, I just ...

    Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan: The Complete First Sea

    Everything about this set is excellent. Any problem you do have with a dog it covers it in this season. Cesar makes alot of sense and just gets you thinking as a dog owner on what you are doing wrong without you even thinking that you are doing something wrong, thinking that your doing good for your pet. I do have a American staffordshire / pitbull and doing things to her that Cesar has shown on the dvd's has worked fantastic. I also agree with Cesar in the Pitbull breed they are very misjudged and its the owners that make the breed a dangerous one as any other breed can be the same way if taught that way. Again i love the set and i would recommend it to anyone with a dog/s.

    Dog Whisperer should be renamed "Human Whisperer"

    If you have ever seen the show on National Geographic channel, you already know that much of the show content is NOT about training dogs. It's about training humans and rehabilitating dogs. I absolutely love this DVD which is a collection of Season 1 shows. I have learned so much just from watching the show and taking what I needed and applying them to our own dog. She is a much more balanced, calm dog now. Some will argue that Cesar's ways are outdated and dangerous but even if you just take his lessons about *human* behavior away from his techniques, there is still so much to be learned from his DVD collection.

    Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan DVD

    I bought the Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan DVD because my daughter had just gotten a new dog from the pound and was having problems with behavior and I thought this dvd would help..and it definitely did. I put the dvd in and was casually watching it with my daughter when before long my entire family was seated around the t.v. totally enthralled with Cesar Millan and his special way with animals.. this dvd is awesome! Very good information and techniques,the kind of dvd that makes you sit for hours on end just watching in total fascination.. great investment for anyone who loves animals, needs some help and advice with their pets, or knows someone who does,, Cesar Millan is totally cool.. you'll love this dvd, it's well worth the money and trust me after watching it, the first thing ...

    CESAR MILLAN DOG WHISPERER

    I got two little, cutest in the world, doggies about a year ago. One was almost 4, another 1 y.o. I didn't have any pets before and soon my cutest "babies" became a big problem. First is very dominant and demaning attention, overprotective, growler and barker, jumper, huge trouble for groomers, etc. Second one is very fearful, overexcited and nervous. Afraid of dark or noises, chews clothes/shoes, being fully housetrained kept having accidents in the house, etc. I have spent over $1000 in training trying to be a responsible "Mommy". One trainer was pretty good and helped to address some of my dogs problems BUT didn't teach ME how to train my dogs so all my practices had very little success - they just didn't listen to me.
