Product Information

Baja is an off-road racing title featuring an estimated 1,000 square miles of treacherous terrain to tame in more than 50 vehicles. Developed by 2XL Games, whose members previously worked on the MX vs. ATV series, Baja offers eight vehicle classes and multiple event types. Featured events include hill climbs, open class races, circuit races, rally races, and the grueling endurance challenge known simply as the "Baja." Players will try to make a name for themselves by winning cash prizes and earning corporate sponsorships. <br><br>The star of the game is the environment, with over 90 courses featuring mountains, mud, canyons, and other hazards in races that can last as long as four hours. Trophy trucks, buggies, 4x4s, and other vehicles are designed to have realistic handling and will experience real-time damage as races progress. Vehicles can also be customized throughout the game with over 200 parts in the areas of suspension, engines, tires, and more. Multiplayer support is available via split-screen display, where up to four racers can compete on the same system, or online for up to eight players.

Awesomeness!
Intense game, made to make you in control of any baja rig you want exceeding 100mph on dirt and sand! Great physics make the game fun and challenging when driving over bumps and jumps at high speeds! AI racers are intelligent and fun to race against! The game simulates damage to almost everything that could break down in a race, shocks wear out making bumps and jumps harder to handle on, brakes wear out becoming ineffective, the clutch can go from overuse and slow acceleration and jsut a number of others things can go wrong but its an intense racing experience, for sure! Fast Game Title, Slow Play & Graphics
I really wanted this game to be fun to play. I love driver games, Motor Storm, and the new Motor Storm Pacific Rift, Burnout Paradise, they are all great games. I expected Baja: Edge of Control to play similar. Instead, this game plays like you have flat tires from the very beginning. I am an avid fan of Baja California. I was really looking forward to playing this game because I thought it would be cool to see familliar places, and great graphics. Nope again. Blocky graphics and trees that don't even break when you hit them. There are a couple of neat items in this game. The train crossings and the highway crossings are a cool twist. Good show on those two extras. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this game a 2. Sorry! Look for my copy on Half dot com.I really wanted this game to be fun to play. I rented this game for before and after the super bowl and I was blown away by the amount of content in the game. Not only are the tracks challenging but they are extremely rugged and the AI is competitive. The game has over 180 vehicles to chose from, literally a thousand miles of terrain to explore in the free roam in 9 open-world environments with over 100 different tracks. The best part about the game is that you can upgrade the parts on the vehicles to make it perform better. There is 200 different parts to choose from and not to mentioned that the game has seven different play modes for different types of racing. if your skeptical rent it first, forgot to mention its a four player game and ten player online.
