Hello Ebayers, I purchased this book awhile back. My BIL sent me looking for the BIGGEST book about roses. I have always told him and anyone else who asks. " looking for something you cant find, GO TO EBAY. They have everything. I knew this book would be just perfect. its a very nice book and it has helped him with some important info and also giving him some great tips on roses. so, there is isnt anything about the book , I or he disliked. he is very satisfied. I decided to buy it, one , cause of great bargain, also cause it was the biggest book I had ever seen about roses. Infact this is where ive gotten every rose gardening or any kind of rose book. A better reference guide you will not find
I have seen and used this book before through the public library services. This is the most comprehensive and complete compendium that I have ever seen. I am certified as a Master Grower and Landscaper and I have seen many publications on flowers, plants, trees and shrubs and this one volume tops all that I have seen collectively. If you have the opportunity to make this purchase, either professionally or for personal use, it is the best book you will ever find; with the only exception being a later version of the same book.I have seen and used this book before through the public library services. This is the most comprehensive and complete compendium that I have ever seen. A-Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants
I was happy to find this wonderful book on E-Bay as it was quite costly in the book stores. This book is a MUST HAVE for anyone that sells plants such as a nursery or retail outlet. Many people know what the plant they want looks like but they do not know the name. Out comes this fabulous book with over 6000 pictures and we FIND IT. Only downside is they want my book. I send them to E-BAY. This book gives detailed descriptions of over 15,000 plants, how to plant them, where to plant them & how to propagate them. There is also a very usefull section on PRUNING by plant type. I can`t say enough GOOD things about this GREAT reference book. DEFINATELY BUY IT!!!!I was happy to find this wonderful book on E-Bay as it was quite costly in the book stores. The Best Gardening Reference Ever!
I purchased this book sometime around the year 2000 at Border's Books because it was on sale and one of the largest gardening books available. I always love a sale! This book is incredible! The information, the pictures, the cost has proven to be invaluable to me. I own the 1997 version and hope to find a more recent one in the future. I lost the paper cover, I left it outside in the rain once, the binding is now falling apart, and some (very little) information is out-dated. Wonder information packed book
As a nursery owner I have come to love this book. It has a great resource for us. It provides enough detail on a large number of families of plants to grow, maintain and propagate. I have used many books in my research in choosing plants to sell, and the ease of use of this book has saved me alot of time.
