    Great scanner for the price and great for everyday use!

    Let's keep this short and sweet. I got this scanner for home to use on our various macs. It's a great one USB plug and play, so it's easy to use on any of our machines. I Installed the drivers and it works great with Image Capture or Canons software. I've scanned in color and black/white with fabulous results, with pretty darn good color accuracy for a well priced scanner as well. The only this I wish you could do is remove the top for scanning larger items flat, but no such luck and for that it get's 4/5 stars instead of 5.

    Good scanner, not so great software

    I bought this because my old scanner (also a Canon) wouldn't work under Windows 7, couldn't get a new driver for it. The price for the new one was very reasonable, so I decided it was less hassle than trying to get the old one to work. The new scanner is similar to old old one, and functions just fine, but the new Canon software is less user-friendly than the old software. I still like Canon scanners - compact, produce good quality images, but I wish the new software was as good as the old. This is probably as much Microsoft's fault as Canon's - it was also a pain to get things to work in Office 2010 - for instance, Microsoft has decided to "remove" the old button that could scan directly inside Word (there is a wortk-around, but Microsoft doesn't want you to know about it).

    Excellent Flat Bed Scanner Powered By USB

    I had been looking online for about a year for an inexpensive USB powered scanner that would scan into a pdf file. Pdf's are the number one choice for readable and visual documents opened in attachments globally. I was not completely sold on the idea of the hand held scanners and most of those that were affordable did not scan into pdf's and were often not in alignment. One day I came across the Canon 110 online, it had a great design shape, powered by USB and priced reasonable so I did my online reviews of this product. Sure enough it would scan anything into a pdf and alowed continued multiple page scans into a single pdf document. The scanning bed software allows for cropping, enhancing color or black and white before scanning to achieve that perfect document whether it's pdf or jpeg, ...

    Unit came with almost no padding or protection in the box. It was loose inside of the box. Does not work.

    I thought I would purchase the unit because it was cheap. The unit does not work at all. I downloaded all the software and drivers. My PC recognizes that the unit is attached. When I attempt to scan something, I get an error message to Release the lock switch, detach the USB cable and reconnect. I followed the instructions and no matter what position the lock switch on the bottom is in, it does not get past this error.

    Lightweight, affordable and user friendly. The whole package

    Outstanding, especially for quick and easy use or professional work. Settings are easy to navigate, resolution user friendly for adjustment to various types of documents, books, and comes with magazine setting to capture multiple colors at precise levels, compatible with upload requirements on websites and online. The DPI feature allows easy uploads to sites with restrictions on pixel level. Lightweight and stylish, yet simple and effective.
