Great release from Mafex.
While the original TDK Batman had a horrid shoulder issue, this Mafex BvS Batman is greatly superior in terms of its sculpt and tooling in it's articulation. It's durable for occasional pose changes and has a decent selection of accessories. The cape is vastly improved, whilst still retaining the questionable wire cape. It also looks like Batfleck, which is a bonus considering Medicom hit or miss skin tones. I rate all 10/10. The Bat toys fans have been waiting for since 1966
These are part of Funko's continuing line of reto action figures. Reminiscent of the Remco monster figures of the 70's, but with modern improvements of better sculptures, paint and welcome attempts at making them more articulated without changing the basic style of figure. Personally, I love these. But with both professional figure development background and an absolutely rabid fans mentality I'm going to give these my honest observations. Get ready for nitpicking. The advanced images and box art both show digital illustrations of the figures most likely prepared way before the product was even prototyped. So seeing the real product in person the first time can be a little jarring. That being said, the figures are adorable with good sculpts really nicely straddling the realism vs Toy ... The Adam West Batman has a great likeness and the paint is for the most part clean and precise. It's also a bit off model with incorrect eyebrows on the mask and other paint design on the head that throws off the sculptural likeness to Adam in costume. The black plate extends way to much into the head, and the mask opening is too far back from the face, giving it that 60's bubble head attachment look that many of the old tin batmobile figures had. This took me half an hour to fix with paint and makes all the difference. The Robin....is kind of scary at first glace due to weird eyepaint. There appears to be little likeness to Burt Ward and it bears no resemblance to the box art. However the sculpt is cute and appropriately boyish in a very traditional Batman and Robin way. Inexplicably the boy sculpt has long sideburns (?) that contribute to the poor first impression. Burt's Robin had short neat sideburns so this really a glaring error. I wonder if there was a problem in development and this head was slapped on at the last minute to make the deadline. (I've not finished "Tweaking" my Robin figure) Wrapping this review up with some quick notes; the figures have nice rubber capes that unfortunately hinder them sitting well in the Batmobile. The Adam figure is a little on the stocky side, but both figures have nicely jointed shoulders that really makes them a little less "Stiff". It would have been great to see this modern element added to the legs, but I applaud Funko for going that extra step of the shoulders. I've neglected the car! It's great for a toy with an impressive recreation of the bold lines of that car that we all love so well. As a toy, it's been shortened for production realities and the back end in particular seems a mite stubby. But no mater your age it's hard not to loose your dignity, sit on the floor and go zoom zoom with it. The box shows several figures coming. Again they appear to be digital illustrations and not photos of actual product, but based on these first two figures in hand I'm very excited. By the line-up we can assume it's just the first wave as Joker, Pengy, and Riddler are not shown, but with choices like Book worm, Tut and both 2nd and 3rd incarnations of Mr. Freeze I'm blown away! With obscurities like a Book Worm figure on the way there is a wish list burning up my imagination with Eartha Kitt, Joker as Pagliacci, Catwomans tiger clad thugs, Penguins goons, Gorshin in the suit, Gordon, O'hara, Louie, Joan Collins!, Jeeze, the mind boggles at all the possibilities from this most Revolutionary and colorful TV series. Hmmmm. Playsets?

Great batmobile
Typically, I am a strict vintage toy collector - but for some reason a few months ago I started buying up the Funko Reaction line of action figures from the Alien, Star Trek, Back to the Future, as well as other movie/tv franchises. Then I came across this batmobile which is technically not a Reaction line but nevertheless, very cool. The figures are faithful to the iconic 1960's tv series and the batmobile itself is incredibly faithful to the George Barris designed original . From the orange trim to every last detail on this car - it's incredible . Displays very nicely in or out of the box . Funko 1966 series Batmobile is pretty sweet
Batmobile is superb, faithful to the Barris design; wish it had the license plate, but that's nit-picking. Batman and Robin figures are a real treat for devotees of the series; the detail is just marvelous. It's a neat little showpiece, and the cityscape backdrop included in the packaging has a very nice Bat-Signal accent.

Great Batmobile with figures
Excellent Batmobile, made with sturdy plastic for durability. Includes 3.75" (approximately) Batman and Robin action figures based on Adam West and Burt Ward, but most any 3.75' figures would fit. Great gift for any Batman fan, young or old!
