Good quality product well worth the money
I bought this Printer after having good service with the HP6500a. The reason I moved to this printer is the volume of ink that the cartridges hold. The printer I bought was in need of Printer heads, along with Print Cartridges, and although the overall cost was near to buying a new one, I feel that I have now got a printer that meets my needs. I do not use the Fax Facility on it , but do a lot of printing. This Printer is well suited to the small office, very fast and the quality of the print far exceeds the ones I was getting with the HP6500a. This printer has the Duplex facility to allow printing on both sides of the paper. Good for those long reports or newsletters. The printer will also take Compatable cartridges, I'm not sure as to whether to go down that route, as some can be ... I bought this Printer after having good service with the HP6500a. GREAT PRINTER; JUST DON'T BUY USED!!!
This, unfortunately, is not as good a review as I had hoped to be able to give. I am sure, however, that a NEW (rather than a product return as I purchased) would perform better... Pros: GREAT print quality Individual inks that can be sourced reasonably cheaply (especially if buying after-market compatibles) Accurate scans Wi-Fi Duplex Cons: SLOW at cancelling SLOW at communicating - and not brilliant with Apple Macs! DREADFUL photo prints (thin vertical black line at 1cm interval across entire A4 landscape print) If I can afford a brand new printer, this is the one I'd go for: it just does everything I want it to, DESPITE the shortcomings noted. I'd really like to mark it better; perhaps, one day, I may be able to come back and improve the score!This, unfortunately, is not as good a review as I had hoped to be able to give. Excellent printer for both home office and genreal office use.
This is a great printer. We purchased it for our office to allow everyone to printer from their computers, ipad etc and we can not fault it. The running costs are low, the scanning is simple and fast and the print quality is excellent.
