The Fab Four take center stage once more in this exclusive Rock Band spin-off. More than a compilation of songs from the Beatles, the game recreates the band's historic concerts, signature instruments, and changing appearances over the span of a 12-album career. Digital versions of John, Paul, George, and Ringo will not only perform at authentic venues, but also within dreamlike environments inspired by some of the band's more colorful songs. <br><br>As with previous entries in the Rock Band franchise, the game involves playing songs by following onscreen cues with one of four peripherals: a microphone, lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums. Vocals now offer three playable parts, a first for the series, including one lead and two harmonies. A built-in vocal trainer will help you get accustomed to singing each melody, as you are able to freely switch between all three parts with a press of a button. Three microphones are required to harmonize with your friends.<br><br>Featured on the disc are 45 tracks, including "Back in the U.S.S.R.," "Here Comes the Sun," "I Feel Fine," "Taxman," "Octopus' Garden," "Get Back," "Day Tripper," "I Saw Her Standing There," "I Am the Walrus," and "I Want to Hold Your Hand." Downloadable content is also supported to expand the initial track list, with 1969's Abbey Road the first album scheduled for online distribution. You can't go wrong with jamming with the Beatles!
Fun game, A little to easy at times but it's really fun to just jam and be able to sing along while playing. Some of the backgrounds are really distracting though while you're trying to play, psychedelic BABY! I can barely see my chords! People who are prone to seizures should avoid this game! LOL

Happy with purchase
I found it practically new for $7.00. It was opened, but never played as well as having no scratches at all. It has the manual and everything it came with like it was unopened. I been a Beatles fan for many years and have been enjoying this game.

Im a big fan of Beatles, so this game is amazing.
9.0 Presentation A unique experience to be sure, but it would have been perfect with a bit more history built into the Story mode. 9.0 Graphics Stunning and imaginative. The venues are accurate, The Beatles are spot-on and the Dreamscapes are magical getaways from reality. 9.0 Sound The Beatles have never sounded so good. The screams of crazed fans gives a sense of what it was like to play Shea Stadium in the '60s. 9.0 Gameplay The same great Rock Band style, but with the addition of vocal harmonies. Rock Band aficionados may find some of it too easy. 8.0 Lasting Appeal Its biggest flaw is the small library. While my guitar gently sleeps.....
As a semi pro musician and a huge Beatles fan, I had to get this game! It's fun to use as a tool to teach my daughter basics of guitar/bass playing. While the game is good and well thought out, it's not as good as the Guitar Hero branded games. The RockBand "instruments" are much nicer and easier to use than Guitar Hero ones, but the game-play isn't as fun. Overall, it's a good game that is clean for children to play. Some things to know before you buy Beatles Rock Band
Here's our opinion thus far. My son (age 13) and I (age 51) have been playing Beatles Rock Band on xBox 360. I NEVER usually get involved in his xBox games, but I am a Beatles fan from long long ago and know all of the songs well enough to sing them. It's a lot of fun singing the songs and my family doesn't care if I sound terrible. My son has been playing the drum part. We have no one for the guitar part, so we can not comment on that. Regarding the vocal component of Beatles Rock Band, it most definitely helps to be familiar with Beatles songs. You can't just sing them any way you want. During a song, there's a crawl along the top that you have to follow that shows the words to the song, how long each note should last, inflections, "yeahs" and "oohs" etc. If you don't follow the ... The closer you can sing to the crawl, the higher the score will be. This is NOT just a casual karaoke sing. It's a bit of a challenge, so knowing the Beatles songs ahead of time definitely helps. For each song, there are Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert levels to choose from. Regarding the drums for Beatles Rock Band, my son had a bit of a problem with them when we first played the game. There's an option in the game to calibrate the drums. Most definitely use that option! It turns out that he calibrated incorrectly at first and couldn't understand why the drumming wasn't working. We had to recalibrate. The resulting numbers were VERY different the second time around, but the drums finally worked correctly. As I mentioned, we haven't tried the guitar component yet, so can not comment on that fairly. ALL IN ALL, I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND BEATLES ROCK BAND. My 13 year old is only a little familiar with Beatles music, but still enjoys the game. If you like the Beatles, you will LOVE this game.
