Decent for just video, everything else is medicro at best.
After receiving the product I expected a few issues such as degradation quality of video from the vga output, however what was unexpected was that my initial mouse had erratic movements. This was temporarily fixed by plugging it in on the rear ports however, audio switching seems to be a problem. Another issue is that when the second computer went to sleep, the kvm video would have difficulty displaying it. IOGEAR MiniView KVMP Switch GCS1734 4-Port
The item arrived early with all of the described parts. The switch is hefty but not cumbersome and fits easily on my desk. Setup was simple and now I have all three [3] of my desktops sharing one monitor! [Originally I had only two of them sharing a monitor with an older IOGEAR Printer Sharing Switch] A minor issue is with the VGA/Audio cables. Only Switch-1 would give me sound from the Monitor speakers. As long as I can switch from machine to another, it's not a big deal since I only use that machine for Documents & Folders. The other two [2] are hooked to their external speakers, which works out fine. One is dedicated exclusively to video capturing & editing, while the other one is dedicated to music mastering & encoding, and photography & graphics. I am very pleased with the ... Only good on paper
IoGear has a very good reputation. On paper, this KVM switch seems exactly what I need and the quality seems very good. Regrettably, it is not working for me. My system thinks there is no keyboard while it is booting. Once the system finishes booting, into Windows 10, the keyboard works fine. I cannot use it during the boot, however, for anything such as entering BIOS or a boot menu. To do so, I need to unplug keyboard from KVM and plug directly into system. I've been trying to get through to IoGear tech support to ask for help but have been unable, so far, to get through.IoGear has a very good reputation.
