Cat Sitter - Vol. 1
I have two indoor cats that have a huge outdoor enclosure. Once my cats discovered & focused on this video, they were entranced, fascinated & glued to the TV, literally. They got bored with it after about an hour. The not so good: They would only sit directly in front of the TV (glued). The really not so good: They started clawing at the TV screen trying to catch the birds, fish & hamsters. It is really kind of hard to discipline them for something I put on my TV for them to enjoy. Bottom line: If you have cats that like to just sit & watch & not physically interact with the characters, then this would be a great video for them. I still put the video on for them on occasion, but it does require my presence since I can’t trust them not to wreak havoc on the TV, which kind of defeats ... THESE CAT SITTER VIDEOS ARE AMONG THE BEST TOYS I EVER GOT MY CATS!!!!!!
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

Our Cats Love This Video
Our cats find this video very interesting. The animals and birds featured in the video capture our cats' attention. I especially like the loop feature so that I don't have to keep resetting the video to play. With the loop the video continues to play. We humans even like the background audio that plays while the video runs. Very relaxing sounds of birds and other nature sounds. Your cats will be fascinated with the actors in the video, and will search the back of your TV, just sure that the squirrel or birds are hiding back there somewhere. Very comical to watch! But be cautious that your TV does not fall on inquisitive kitties. We do advise supervision while the video is playing.Our cats find this video very interesting. Amazing
I purchased this for a shelter that I volunteer at. I work with the cats and we just installed a wall mount TV and DVD player....Within 20 minutes most of the cats were glued to the TV...One of the cats is new to us and lost his caretaker who died. This cat seemed to be depressed and was so focused on the video I was sold that this works and will enrich the lives of our cats while they wait for their forever home..I just purshed vol 2 for a second TV we will install in sickbay where some cats stay for extended periods of time....ThanksI purchased this for a shelter that I volunteer at. Best $10 I've ever spent on my cat.
I bought this DVD a week ago because I think my indoor only, only cat is bored. She's pulling fur out, which we're allergy testing for without much success, and she prowls around and wakes me up at night. I had seen DVDs like this years ago and thought they looked kind of silly, but I checked it out on Amazon and it got good reviews so I thought I'd give it a shot. Chloe was instantly drawn to it and sits with her head bobbing back and forth and will reach up to bat at and attack the screen. I've been playing it for her all night and she actually does not wake me up as much. I also leave it on for her during the day when I'm at work. I picked vol. 1 because it was a mix of critters - gerbils, hamsters, mice, birds, fish, butterflies, squirrels, etc. She really likes the rodents and the ... Vol. 3 is all fish, so we'll probably pass on that as she's not as interested in those, but other cats may be, which is why I'd recommend getting vol. 1 first so you can see what your cat's favorite "shows" are. Most of the film quality is very good, although the sound (tweeting birds) gets a bit monotonous. The parrot is squawky, and they do switch to crickety noises during the butterfly scenes. The tweeting during the fish scenes is a bit odd, I know it is to attract the cat's attention but perhaps bubbling or dripping water would have been a better choice. The tweeting during the rodent segments can at least be explained in that they are in outdoor looking settings. Chloe never paid any attention to TV before, but since I got this she now jumps up and watches people TV too. Maybe she's just waiting for me to put "her" show back on. We give this video 5-paws.
