Product Information

Try to get your marble to the end of the maze in MARBLE MADNESS. You must guide a marble through a maze within a specified amount of time. You have an unlimited supply of marbles, but rolling one off the edge or having one destroyed by an enemy will cost you valuable seconds. Along the way, your marbles will face acid puddles that dissolve the marble instantly, marble munchers that jump up and down trying to eat the marble, and your dreaded nemesis, the black marble. As a stroke of luck, there are tunnels, ramps, and chutes that will lead your marble to other parts of the maze. You score points by completing levels with time left on the clock and traversing through all six stages. There is plenty of marble-rolling action in MARBLE MADNESS.

MARBLE MADNESS NES!
This game is incredibly awesome, but unfortunately it is incredibly short with only 6 levels. This is a game that seriously needs to be re-made for the Wii or put up as a virtual console download. At least 100 levels would suitably do this title justice! But this game is a lot of fun for the original Nintendo. Basically all you do is roll a marble through a maze and you have to get to the finish time within to amount of time given. If you finish with time to spare, that time gets rolled over on the timer for the next level. You will have hazards and things to watch out for as you roll through the mazes, so there is a little more to it than just keeping your balance and not falling over the edge which that in itself will cost you considerable time, so don't do it very often. The graphics in this game are amazing, very good for this system at that time, especially being that it was a 3D world. The music is pretty good too, the quality, but also how it had kind of a futuristic sound to it, which a lot of NES games didn't have so it's unique. I can still hear the songs in my head (they are pretty catchy). I don't know if this makes up for the game being so brutaly short, but if anything does, it's the two player co-op mode. That's what it's designed to be, though you don't have to cooperate if you don't want to. Back in the day when I played I'd always knock my opponent off the sides, or at least try. Be careful though because if you miss you'll fall off the side yourself. If you are going much faster than your opponent you basically run them off the screen but then the game just moves your opponent closer to where you are. In 1 player mode there is also another hazard, the black marble. It'll just try to mess with you and knock you off the sides as well. The 1st level starts off ridiculously easy, and they get harder as you but, but with a little bit of practice once you get good at the game, you'll have no problem getting through the first 5 levels. The 6th level is very very hard though. I don't think I've ever actually beaten that level, thus beating the game. I'll have to give it another shot now. But yeah, basically the only bad thing I have to say about this game is that it's too short. They seriously need to re-make this game on an updated system with updated graphics and sound. It'd be pretty amazing if you ask me.

A very basic but interesting game where you roll a marble from the start of a board to the end of the board. The game is incredibly short but it's addicting while you try to beat your best time(or just beat it all).

Marble Madness!
A frustrating game that you just can't stop playing! For those of you unaware, you are a marble that has to traverse your way through the levels, while avoiding falling off the edge, traps, acid spills, etc. It's a great challenge. One of my favorite nes games.

Game is exactly as I remember it. Little frustrated with having to mess with it to get the graphics working right, but that is typical for the NES.

All time classic!
This game is an all time classic. A must have for every old school gamer! good 3-d graphics for the old 8-bit NES. Great game play. VERY addicting. You simply have to guide a marble through a series of obstacles. This game is challenging, yet it starts out very gradually. A child could play this game, yet it gets complex enough for adults. It teaches you how to play with a few simple levels, then it makes you rack your brain.This game is an all time classic.
