Product Information

Although far less famous than their Liverpudlian counterparts The Beatles, who emerged in the same era, Gerry and the Pacemakers still enjoyed a sizeable chunk of success with a string of number one singles in their native UK. Lead singer Gerry Madsen stuck with the band through thick and thin, with this show from 1990 coming in the 31st year of the band's existence. Shot at the Pavilion in Glasgow, a buoyant crowd welcomes the band on stage, and they proceed to deliver a hit-filled set. Among the songs performed are "Ferry Across The Mersey," "You'll Never Walk Alone," "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying," and many others.

    Gerry and the Pacemakers-Live at the Pavillion

    Here's a reasonably good DVD of Gerry and the Boys doing a good set of old hits. The film production is lacking greatly in quality, it's very amateurlike. It's a film of a concert performed in Glasgow in 1991 and lasts for 67 minutes. Songs on here are (How do you do it,Sweet little sixteen,Pretend,The rose,I'm the one,All in the game,Chills,Don't let the sun catch you crying,It's gonna be alright,Hello,Whole lotta shakin' goin' on,Ferry cross the mersey,I saw her standing there,Never walk alone,I like it, and Rip it up). If you are a fan of the original Mersey Sound it's a good one to add to the collection.

    Brilliant dvd

    Fun, funny and excellent music. Superb quality. Gerry is a comedian and musician who excels on the stage! I could watch him for hours and never get bored.

    Front Row Seat to Gerry and The Pacemakers Concert

    It was always a dream of mine to see Gerry and The Pacemakers when I was a teen, but it never happened until last week when I actually got to see Gerry Marsden and Peter and Gordon do a free concert at Santa Monica Pier. It was a dream that finally came through for myself and everyone else in the audience and I wanted to keep part of that memory alive by buying this dvd of a live concert Gerry had done in Glasglow in the 90's. I was really blown away by this concert on the dvd. It was even better than the concert I attended. Part of the reason is that the camera is focused close on his face most of the time. He also sang beautifully two songs HELLO and THE ROSE. All I can say for you baby boomers out there, if you ever wanted to see Gerry Marsden (Gerry and The Pacemakers) concert, get ...
