Spirit of Water Barbie Doll
This was a purchase for the entire collection of (3) Spirit of the Earth, Water and Sky Barbie dolls. They were all in very well kept condition, both dolls and boxes. My only disappointment, which has no bearing on the seller, is that there are loose beads in the box of the Spirit of the Water Barbie. The bottom stop of the spirit stick has popped off and released the beads that were in the spirit stick, into the box. You can see the spring in the bottom of the spirit stick that was apparently supposed to be stopped with stop, keeping beads for Spirit Stick "sound" in stick. Stop and beads are both just laying about in the box. I could fix this problem easily, but would have to open Barbie. I am not sure I want to do this. Something different, exotic, ethnically diversified for a doll collection.
Owning a little doll collection, I discovered this Native American Mattel Barbie brand doll, non-existent in Brazil (my home country). Also, I figured out it was the 2nd edition of a total of three. It's a very nice representation of a N. A. spirit, in a generic way, not specifying any ethnic group. Also, that stick (a "rain stick") is found in South American N. A. ethnic groups. For not being so specifically designed, it seems to lose a little bit of realism, considering its head sculpt - in my opinion, too much Caucasian/European look alike, compared to the 1st edition (Spirit of the Earth).
