great player for the money
Wireless access to Netflix was my key criteria when I started looking for my first Blu-ray player. Once I read CNET's statement that this unit was a huge leap ahead, I was sold. I bought and connected it, Connecting it to my wireless network went smoothly. It looked as good as a DVD could look. . It played DVDs, Blu-rays, and streaming Netflix films for 12 hours. During that time I noticed that the audio was slightly behind the video, which was especially pronounced in concert footage. Customer support had me change various setting to no avail. In 4 hours the player froze up I gave up. I returned the unit and took home an LG B390. I've had it playing for 24 hours and it has performed excellently. Good player
i was looking for blu ray player with a componet hookup for my tv. player works well, i have the player wired through my receiver with multi casting and sounds just like a theatre experience. i have yet to set up the online features as there are very little instructions. the book print is extremely small and the pictures are not very helpful. I would recommend this player.

Nice networking blu-ray player
I was looking for a Blu-Ray player (my first) to hook to my HDTV (also my first). I wanted wifi connectivity to online streaming (Netflix, YouTube, etc.) because the set isn't anywhere close to my router. This was easy to set up and seems to work OK, even with my mediocre DSL connection. It's a little slow getting started, but no biggie. I think this is the 2009 model. I got it for about $95 with shipping. The Wifi adapter (dongel?) alone sells for about $50. I've always had good luck with Samsung products in the past, and so far so good.I was looking for a Blu-Ray player (my first) to hook to my HDTV (also my first). Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-Ray Player
This is one of the new generation of multi-functional players: It streams movies from Netflix, music from Pandora and content from YouTube via its wireless network connection. For the most part the unit performs as advertised. The Blu-ray video quality is excellent, especially when viewed on a decent 1080p monitor. But what is most impressive is the audio. The sound quality inheirent on Blu-ray discs is so far superior to that of DVD as to warrant the purchase of a high-end surround-sound system to fully appreciate it. If you are using the speakers built into your set or are using some compact surroun-sound alternative don't waste your time or money on Blu-ray. The difference in picture quality over DVD does not justify the investment. On the down side the wi-fi was very difficult ... While not a professional I consider myself reasonably savvy when it come to that sort of thing; it took many tries and quite some time before I was able to connect it to my home network. If you don't plan to stream content via the internet save yourself some time, effort and money a choose a player that is simply a player. Another potential problem is that the unit's transport controls are located on top of the player, not along the front panel as is convention. Meaning that to use them the unit must be placed with nothing immediately above it and somewhere that you can easily see and reach. Fortunately the full-function remote provided is quite easy to use with (reasonably) large, easy to read buttons. Finally, this unit sufferes from slow transport times(as compared to DVD), a problem that seems to plague all Blu-ray players. The unit is quite attractive being trapezoidal in shape and finished in high-gloss balck (as is the remote). The display is the usual Samsung blue and is somewhat dim in normal room lighting conditions. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a multi-tasking Blu-ray player that has (or plans to buy) the associated home theatre hardware to fully appreciate it capabilities.

INCREDIBLE PRODUCT
This is the coolest BluRay player out there! Set-up was a snap and in less than 10 minutes I had it running off the wireless network, and was watching an episode of the Office from Season 1 (thanks to Netflix). It streams media from my PC, streams music from Pandora, plays burned DVDs, upscales, BluRay is gorgeous - I just can't say enough about this player!!! The HD picture is beautiful on my 720p plasma, and absolutely gorgeous on my friend's 1080p LCD. Plus, the upconversion from 420p to 720p is pretty amazing, too. My only question is, when are they going to build a DVR into these things so they'll have all my media in one small package? If you're in the market for a BluRay player, look no further! Will update again once I get it back.
