Lightweight pro-consumer SD Camera
I have used one of these for over 10 years for events and basketball game recording. Have never failed to give a excellent quality video for the cost and school's/customer's needs. Not film quality but big screen TV good. Light on the shoulder and easy to find and use professional controls. Great starter professional camera. MiniDV tapes have to be ordered now and good quality tapes recommended.

LETS FACE IT.. Non HD resolution cameras are inferior in picture detail compared to the HIGH DEFINITION format..PERIOD. Add in the fact that the DV TAPE format is a ancient resource hog in all aspects from usage,maintenance, and storage. Through in the fact that that the tape TRANSPORT mechanism is bound to fail at some point to include destroying your recording. So if you want to relive yesterday and drive the steam engine this is it! My cell phone records a sharper image in a smaller less resource grabbing fashion in all aspects. LETS FACE IT.. Top of the line for standard definition video
I don't know how I got on the Ebay list to review this camera, I don't own one. But I have used them in the past and found them to be top of the line for a standard definition camera. Their only drawback, they are rather large and somewhat heavy. If I didn't suffer from back problems I would be using these at my station now.
