Works as described
I have a TubShroom in my tub and since then never have a clogged drain. It's been working perfectly as advertised. When I saw the SinkShroom, I knew I had to order it as well. The SinkShroom looks just like a smaller version of the TubShroom except for the two additional spacers under the top flange which create optimal clearance for drainage. It catches hair around its barrel just as well. It also does a good job of preventing small objects such as jewelry from falling into the drain by accident. Hair accumulated around the barrel can easily be removed by wiping it down with a paper towel. The only caveat is that most bathroom sinks have a built-in, pop-up stopper that needs to be removed before you can use the SinkShroom. This usually requires a bit of work under the sink. Size does matter
I was thrilled to try out this product, but was quickly sadden when I put it in the bathtub. Unfortunately for me our drainage hole was too big for the SinkShroom and I wasn't aware that they made a TubShroom until days later. The SinkShroom is made of durable plastic and the design looks nice, but I probably won't use it for the sink as we do not have a hair problem there.

works great on grabbing the hair for people and dogs i just thought you push down would work also as a stopper for tub but as for other good job

Open drain hole
I mainly purchase because my sink has an empty hole drainer, so for protection I purchased this item, and it works great, sometimes the water goes down slowly however it’s easy to place in and out, and I don’t have to worry about anything falling into the sink.

I have a vintage, claw foot rub with odd plumbing hardware in rental unit-- I accidentally ordered the sink (not tub) version, but lucked out with a good fit. My tub drain has metal crosshairs that I cannot remove, and I was concerned this product would float above the half inch level it needed to sit at to function.
