Julie Strain is a B movie actress. She really can't bring the actual emotion to the part that would make her a really good actress. She is a beautiful woman, but she acts like she thinks this is the way someone gets mad. While there are times that she does come across as genuine, the very next scene has bad emoting in it. I've heard other voice over actors sound arrogant when they talk about their abilities, but what they do when they act is lose themselves in the character. Should Julie decide that she can actually put herself into the character, her acting will improve. Until then, she'll remain a B actress who is better known for being beautiful and sensual, which there is really nothing bad about that. She does have a huge career and is a respectable personality. All in all, worth the thirteen dollars I paid for it, but it won’t be like the first Heavy Metal, which I’ve watched 20+ times. I’ll probably only watch this twice and put it in the collection in case someone wants to borrow it.

Fun Heavy Metal romp
Great film for fans of the Heavy Metal comic, and of animated sci fi. The characters are interesting and the vehicles are pretty cool. Lots of action and a little twist at the end. Recommend!

A really great movie at a good price.
This movie was made in the same vein as the original movie "Heavy Metal". This movie had an increased amount of violence between Good and Evil, the depiction of the evil different from the original, however as the evil had taken a new form, the depiction works very well! Once the viewer understands the story the action itself makes the story so much better. I would say this movie is on par with the original movie. The heavy metal music score is very different from the original, yet it goes with this movie rather well. All in all, this movie is an excellent follow up to the original movie and will stand on its own. second movie is a winner!
The sound track was great for the movie, fast paced music for fast paced action. I liked the animation, not top notch, but deffinently good. Same as the previous movie, contains graphic violence, nudity, and adult language. So if you like animated psychopaths, bouyant female charcters, blood flying, nudity, and foul language, to a metal sound track this should do the trick. Some people didn't like it as much as the original, I personaly liked it better. It is one whole movie instead of multible shorts as the first one was.The sound track was great for the movie, fast paced music for fast paced action. A great follow-up to the original movie.
The two main characters are Tyler voiced by Michael Ironside and Julie voiced by Julie Strain. The Animation is fabulous. The heavy metal music choices for the movie I feel were somewhat poorly choiced . The music in the original was engagingand tied into the short stories. Heavy metal 2000 is one story tied together. Maybe in 5 more years a 3rd Heavy Metal movie will appear
