    Recommended reference book for your home!

    I purcahsed this book because it seemed like a good value for the amount of info it had contained. Of course, it's got the Martha Stewart name, and she's the queen bee of all things household. I love the amount of information that the book has in it- I used it the day I got it! While there are many household topics covered, there were a few things I was looking for that weren't in the book, but I guess it can't cover every single little thing. It would be nice if there were color photos, but I guess that doesn't matter too much- the info inside is worth more than color photos. I have several other household cleaning books, but this one covers more than the rest of them combined. It has details and is pretty explanitory when it comes to describing how to clean certain things, and I ...

    For Martha Completists Only

    This book could have been better if there had been some color photos included. MSL is known for its wonderful photography which enhances its compelling content. However, this very thick, heavy book lacks readability. It contains a lot of great and worthwhile information but it is presented in a dull and boring way. I suppose it's handy as a reference guide, but with everyone nowadays having computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. this info is available at your fingertips. No need to go wading through such a voluminous book, especially when there are no color photos at all, save for the cover. I guess the publisher wanted to save money, but in the end, people might not buy it for that reason so their cost-saving is counterproductive.     We love it!

    This is a wonderful resource for anything you need to do in your home. It is written for anyone no matter what stage of life you are in, whether it is just moving out and you've never taken care of a home; to you never quite knew how to do that in the first place! I was at first thrown off by how simple it is, but after spending some time reading it I've learned that this book is chock full of everyday practical tips, checklists, remodeling advice, and tips that only Martha can give! The latest tip that blew me away was in the linen closet, put the whole sheet set inside its matching pillow case to save space and keep organized! I often thumb through it just to read. It is a 744 page hardcover book that should be a must for everyone who maintains a home no matter if that home is a tiny apartment or large house.
