    An excellent all around basic 'traditional skills' book

    So many topics covered, from how to build a home and barn, choosing and caring for livestock, raising, preserving & preparing food, soap & candle making... It's just an excellent basic book with lots of diagrams and pictures.

    Worth it.

    It's not the edition that I wanted, it has more in it, but this one is a great substitute. It still has most everything I need in it and then some. The book is in perfect shape, well worth the price, and it got here several days early. Good product, great service. Thanks

    Back to Basics

    You know, if you've ever thought something like "If society ever fell, and I could only have one book..." then this is the book for you. It has comprehensive instructions for, well, just about everything a person needs to be able to survive in your average North American environment. Even if you just use it for some basic gardening tips, its worth it. Absolutely one of the best books I've ever had.

    Back to Basics...it is a fantastic ALL in ONE guide

    I have browsed through this book and found it to be very specific, easy to read and step by step with GREAT PICTURES!!! This is without question a must have book for ANYONE wishing to homestead, husbandry-type lifestyle, or get out in the county area to GET SELF SUFFICIENT. This book contains everything that your great grandfather would have taught you from the mailbox all the way through the field and into your dresser drawers. IT IS THE WHOLE ONE FAMILY FARM IN ONE BOOK.
